Do not assume that a missing history means OTTO made no change. It means the platform cannot provide a stored fix record for that comparison.
🧩 Confirm the project association
Before reviewing a site, confirm that it is an OTTO project associated with your Search Atlas account. A domain may exist in another account, workspace, or project without being available to you.
- Open the project currently selected in Search Atlas.
- Check that the project domain matches the site you want to review.
- Confirm that OTTO is enabled for that project.
- If the project or domain is missing, do not use another project’s data to verify the change.
For example, if neroac.com is not an OTTO project associated with your account, Search Atlas cannot confirm OTTO changes for that site from your account.
📄 Check the current title tag
Open the associated OTTO project and review the page’s current title tag using the available page or SEO details shown in that project. Compare the current value with a trusted source, such as a previous crawl, your CMS, or a saved page snapshot.
Search Atlas may show the current state without providing a historical record of the change. Avoid claiming that OTTO changed a title unless independent evidence supports that conclusion.
✅ How to explain a discrepancy
- Current title differs: A change may have occurred, but OTTO’s unavailable fix history cannot identify when or confirm that OTTO made it.
- Current title matches: There is no visible title-tag difference in the current data.
- Project is unavailable: The site cannot be verified from the current account until the correct associated project is accessible.
- External tools disagree: Check crawl dates, caching, redirects, and whether each tool inspected the same URL version.
🚫 What not to claim
Do not say that OTTO stores detailed title-tag change history, provide an invented dashboard location for historical fixes, or confirm a change when the site is not associated with the customer’s OTTO project.
