🔍 Overview

In some cases, content generated inside OTTO SEO may unexpectedly show a fail status — even if you had already edited and prepared it for publishing. When this happens, you may need to regenerate the content, which consumes additional quota that should not have been used. Our support team can investigate these cases and restore the quota spent on failed generations.

⚠️ What Causes This Issue

Content generated in OTTO SEO can occasionally fail to save or sync correctly due to a platform-side error. This is a known issue that our engineering team is actively working to resolve. The result is that content you already edited and prepared disappears and is marked as failed, forcing you to regenerate it and use extra tokens in the process.

✅ What You Should Do

  1. Confirm the failure. Go to Left sidebar → OTTO SEO and review your generated content. Note which articles or items are showing a fail status that you had previously edited or completed.
  2. Record the quota used. Before contacting support, note how many tokens or quota credits were consumed on the failed generations. This information speeds up the restore process significantly.
  3. Do not regenerate immediately if possible. If you have already regenerated the content, note both the original and the additional quota used so support can restore the full amount.
  4. Contact our support team. Our team has been granted permission to restore quota in verified cases of content failure. This cannot be done automatically — a support agent must review and approve the restore on a case-by-case basis.

📋 Information to Have Ready

To help our support team process your quota restore as quickly as possible, gather the following before reaching out:

  • The number of quota credits or tokens consumed on failed generations
  • The approximate date and time the failure occurred
  • A brief description of what happened — for example, that content was edited and ready to publish before it disappeared
  • Any screenshots or screen recordings showing the fail status, if available

🛠️ What Happens After You Contact Support

A support agent will review your case and, if the failure is confirmed, escalate it internally to obtain permission for a quota restore. Once approved, the agent will reset the quota credits that were lost. You will receive confirmation once the restore has been completed. Note that any underlying sync or publishing discrepancy may be separately escalated to the engineering team for further investigation.

💡 Tips to Avoid Losing Work

  • If content is marked as fail shortly after generation, wait a few minutes and refresh the page before assuming the content is lost — quota display and content sync can sometimes lag behind.
  • Copy or save any edited content to a separate document before publishing, so you have a backup if a sync issue occurs.
  • Check back on your quota after bulk generation tasks, as there have been known instances where quota panels do not refresh immediately after articles are created.
