🔌 Installing Search Atlas JavaScript Pixel on Replit

🧭 Overview

If you recently migrated your site to Replit and Search Atlas is still showing data from your old platform (such as Wix), the tracking pixel needs to be installed on your new Replit project. This article outlines the general approach for adding the Search Atlas JavaScript snippet to a Replit project so that data is pulled from the correct platform.

⚠️ Why Old Platform Data Still Appears

Search Atlas tracks your site using a JavaScript pixel tied to your account. When you migrate to a new platform, the pixel does not automatically follow. Until the snippet is added to your Replit project and your old site is removed or the pixel is inactive there, Search Atlas will continue reading whichever source it last detected. Installing the pixel on Replit and saving your changes resolves this.

🔑 Step 1: Find Your Unique Tracking Snippet

  1. Log in to your Search Atlas account.
  2. Locate the JavaScript tracking snippet associated with your site within your Search Atlas account. If you are unsure where to find it, contact the Search Atlas support team for guidance on retrieving your snippet.
  3. Copy the full JavaScript snippet provided — your unique identifier is already embedded in it. Do not modify any part of it.

🛠️ Step 2: Add the Snippet to Your Replit Project

  1. Open your Replit project that hosts your website.
  2. Locate the main HTML file for your project. This is most commonly named index.html. If your project uses a JavaScript framework, place the snippet in the appropriate location where global scripts are loaded for every page — consult your framework's documentation for the correct placement.
  3. Open the HTML file and find the closing </head> tag.
  4. Paste your copied Search Atlas snippet on the line directly above </head>.
  5. Save your file and ensure your live site is updated with the latest changes.

✅ Step 3: Verify the Pixel Is Active

After saving and deploying, return to your Search Atlas account and check that your Replit site is being detected. It may take a short time for data from the new platform to appear. If your old platform's pixel is still active, deactivate or remove it to ensure Search Atlas reads from your Replit site only.
