📌 Overview

Search Atlas maintains two independent Knowledge Graphs for each project: one used by OTTO for AI-driven SEO automation, and a separate one used by the Press Release feature. These Knowledge Graphs do not sync with each other, so the data — including image counts — can differ between them. This is expected behaviour, not a bug.

🔍 Why Your Image Counts May Not Match

If OTTO flags a different number of images than what you see in your Press Release Knowledge Graph, it is because each feature reads from its own independent data source. For example, OTTO may show 5 images while your Press Release Knowledge Graph shows only 3 — these are two separate records and neither one is wrong.

  • OTTO Knowledge Graph: Stores entity data, images, and structured information used to power OTTO's SEO recommendations and on-page automation tasks.
  • Press Release Knowledge Graph: Stores the business information, images, and entity details submitted specifically for press release campaigns. This graph is populated and managed separately.
  • Changes made in one Knowledge Graph are not automatically reflected in the other.

🖼️ How Press Release Image Validation Works

When you activate a press release campaign, the system validates the content against the Press Release Knowledge Graph only — not the OTTO Knowledge Graph. The validation checks that the images attached to your Press Release Knowledge Graph meet the minimum requirements for distribution.

✅ How to Resolve an Image Count Mismatch

If your press release campaign is blocked due to an image count issue, keep in mind that the image count shown in the OTTO Knowledge Graph is a separate record and does not affect press release activation. The images that matter for press release validation are those stored in the Press Release Knowledge Graph — these are managed independently.
