Overview
When a press release fails to publish, a common root cause is an insufficient Hyperdrive credits error. If your account does not have enough Hyperdrive credits, publishing will be blocked. Use this article to understand what is happening and how to resolve it.
Why Publishing Fails: Hyperdrive Credits
Publishing a press release in Search Atlas consumes Hyperdrive credits. If your account balance does not have enough credits to cover the action, the publish will not go through. This is a billing-related block — your content itself may be perfectly valid, but the action cannot complete without sufficient credits.
How to Resolve an Insufficient Credits Error
To unblock publishing, you will need to purchase additional Hyperdrive credits through your account's billing settings. Follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Billing section from the top-right avatar (Account Menu) of your Search Atlas account.
- Review your current Hyperdrive credit balance to confirm it is too low to complete the publish action.
- Purchase additional Hyperdrive credits through the available options in the Billing section.
- Once the credits have been added to your account, return to your press release draft and attempt to publish again.
If you are unsure how many credits are required to publish a press release, or if you have purchased credits and publishing is still blocked, please have the following ready before contacting support: your account or project name, the exact error message you see on screen, and the approximate date and time of the failed publish attempt.
