Your Search Atlas invoice may include three types of charges: your base plan subscription, top-up purchases, and add-on activations such as OTTO sites. Understanding each category will help you identify any charge on your account and choose the right plan for your agency.
🤖 What Is a Top-Up?
A top-up is a block of additional AI quota that you purchase on top of your base plan's monthly quota allowance. AI quota is consumed whenever you use AI-powered features across the platform, including content generation, on-page recommendations, and automation tasks.
Top-ups are available as a one-time purchase or set to recur automatically each billing cycle so your workflows are never interrupted. You can purchase multiple blocks at once. For exact top-up pricing and available block sizes, refer to the pricing page in your account or contact our team.
💡 Common Charge Amounts Explained
Your invoice may show line items for top-up blocks and add-ons. Each top-up block adds a fixed amount of AI quota units to your account. Multiple blocks can be purchased together, so a charge may represent one or more blocks combined.
Your invoice may also include charges for additional OTTO site activations. OTTO is Search Atlas's SEO automation layer. Each active OTTO site beyond your plan's included allowance is billed as a separate add-on. If you see an unexpected charge, it may reflect one or more extra OTTO sites activated above your plan limit.

🏢 Which Plan Is Best for a 9-Site Agency?
If you are managing 9 SEO client sites, the right plan depends on two factors: how many OTTO sites your plan includes, and how much AI quota your monthly workload requires.
As a general guide for a 9-site agency:
- Choose a plan that covers at least 9 OTTO site activations. Higher-tier plans include more OTTO sites by default, reducing or eliminating per-site add-on charges. If your current plan covers fewer than 9 sites, each additional OTTO site activation adds to your monthly bill.
- Estimate your monthly AI quota consumption. Review your quota usage in your account dashboard to understand how much quota your campaigns consume, then select a plan or top-up level that matches your needs.
- Review your quota usage regularly in your account dashboard to track remaining quota and adjust your top-up settings as your campaigns scale.
