If your enterprise account shows a creation date that is later than your payment date, this is a known display issue — not a billing error. Your payment history and charges are accurate; only the account creation timestamp was affected by a recent migration.
Status note: Our team is actively investigating additional billing anomalies related to this migration. This article will be updated as more information becomes available. Last updated: 2026-05-26.
🔎 Am I Affected?
This display issue applies to a specific group of accounts. You are likely affected if all of the following apply:
- You have an enterprise account.
- Your account was part of the recent enterprise migration (approximately 60 enterprise accounts were migrated).
- Your Activated at date falls within the migration window rather than your original sign-up date.
If you are not an enterprise account or were not part of the migration but are seeing unexpected charges, this may be a separate issue — please contact support with your account ID for individual review.
⚠️ What Caused the Timestamp Mismatch
During a recent migration of enterprise accounts, the system recorded the migration date as each account's Activated at date instead of the original account activation date. The Paid date — when your first payment was processed — was not changed and remains correct.
This leaves affected accounts displaying:
- Activated at: the date the account was migrated (which may be weeks or months after your original activation)
- Paid: the date your original payment was processed (which correctly pre-dates the migration)
The result is a date order that appears as though you were charged before your account existed. You were not — your subscription was active on the date shown as Paid.
💳 Your Billing May Need a Review
For most affected accounts, only the creation date display was altered. However, a subset of migrated accounts also experienced billing discrepancies including incorrect add-ons or invoice amounts. If your current invoice total does not match your expected subscription cost, please contact support immediately so we can audit your account against your original plan.
A correct Paid date confirms when your subscription was activated. To verify charge amounts, review your invoice history in Billing → Invoices and compare totals to your contracted plan.
📋 How to Review Your Account Dates
To confirm which dates your account is displaying:
- Log in to your Search Atlas account.
- Navigate to Top-right corner (avatar) → Billing → Invoices tab.
- Locate the Activated at and Paid date fields in your account details.
If your Paid date is earlier than your Activated at date, and your Activated at date falls within the migration window rather than your original sign-up date, your account is showing the migration timestamp issue described in this article.
❓ Related Migration Issues
Some customers have reported additional issues that stem from the same migration event. If any of the following apply to you, please contact support:
- My subscription shows as cancelled but I was billed: Some migrated subscriptions were incorrectly marked as cancelled while billing continued. Contact support and reference "migrated subscription showing as cancelled" for an expedited escalation path.
- I see duplicate subscription charges: A subset of migrated accounts had duplicate subscription records created, resulting in overcharges. Check your Billing → Invoices page for multiple active subscriptions on the same account and contact support with both subscription IDs for review.
🛠️ How to Request a Corrected Creation Date
If you need your account's creation date updated to reflect your original activation date, contact the Search Atlas support team:
- Open a support chat from within your account dashboard.
- Provide your account email address.
- Specify that you are requesting an Activated at date correction for a migrated enterprise account.
The support team will verify your original activation date and update the displayed Activated at date on your account.
🌀 You now know that an Activated at date appearing after your payment date on an enterprise account is a display issue caused by a recent migration. While charges are accurate for most affected accounts, a subset experienced billing discrepancies — if your invoice total does not match your expected plan, contact the Search Atlas support team directly from your account dashboard.
