A common question when setting up whitelabel in Search Atlas is whether you can use a root domain (for example, youragency.com) or whether a subdomain is required.
Important: Root domains (also called apex domains) are generally not supported for whitelabel configuration. You will typically need to use a subdomain — for example:
- seo.youragency.com
- reports.youragency.com
- app.youragency.com
Using a subdomain allows DNS records to be configured correctly so your whitelabel environment loads reliably for your clients.
Configuring Your Whitelabel Domain
To set up your whitelabel domain, navigate to the Whitelabel or White Label area within your Search Atlas account settings. Enter your chosen subdomain in the domain field provided and follow the DNS configuration instructions shown on that page to point your subdomain to the Search Atlas platform.

Logo Specifications for Whitelabel Branding
