🛠️ Change the AI Assistant White-Label Name

Last updated on Oct 29, 2026

🏷️ What the white-label name changes

The AI assistant white-label name is the brand your clients see instead of the default name OTTO. When you save a new name, such as pc360, that name replaces OTTO in the places where the assistant brand appears, including navigation, page headings, and automated messages.

⚙️ Where to change the assistant name

You change the name inside Search Atlas. No separate branding tool is required. Use an account that can manage agency branding.

  1. Sign in to Search Atlas.
  2. Open the features menu (More features).
  3. Select Agency Whitelabel. This opens Agency Hub. Only a parent account can open it.
  4. Open the White Label Setup tab, stay on Brand Identity, and find AI Assistant Name. The field is required. Its placeholder is e.g. Nova, Scout, Ada. If the name is still the default OTTO, the field starts empty rather than showing OTTO.
  5. Replace the text with your own name, for example pc360. The name must be 25 characters or fewer, and each word must be 10 characters or fewer.
  6. If white label is not launched yet, choose Continue. The name is only staged and goes live when you launch. If white label is already launched, choose Update configuration, then confirm Rename for Everyone. The new name applies immediately for everyone on the account.
  7. You do not need to refresh the page or sign out. After you launch, or after you confirm the rename on an already launched setup, the new name is shown immediately. Before launch, the name is only staged and is not shown yet.

👀 What you should see after saving

  • Navigation, page headings, the chat interface, and automated messages show your name instead of OTTO.
  • Client-facing white-label views use the same saved name.
  • After the white-label setup is launched, your agency account and its client accounts show the name you entered. Before launch, the name is only saved as a draft and the account still shows OTTO.

This change only updates the visible assistant brand. It does not turn off Search Atlas features or remove the assistant.

🛠️ If the old name is still showing

  • Confirm you clicked save and did not only type the new name.
  • Hard refresh the browser, or open the platform in a private window.
  • Check that you are signed in to the same parent agency account where you saved the name. The name applies to that agency account and its client accounts. It is not saved separately for each client project.
  • Ask an agency admin to confirm you are on the parent account and can edit white-label settings. A viewer, a child-account user, or a user without white-label access can see the current name but cannot change it.
  • If a client still sees OTTO, confirm that white label was launched and the rename was confirmed, and that the client account belongs to that parent agency. A page refresh is not required for the new name to load.
