The connector setup flow has been redesigned to unify scope selection, permission configuration, and team creation into a single, streamlined wizard — making it faster and clearer to connect your accounts from the start.
✨ What's New
The new Connector Unified Scope/Permission UX brings together three previously separate steps — selecting your connector scope, configuring permissions, and creating a team — into one cohesive guided wizard. Instead of navigating multiple screens or settings pages, you are now walked through each step in sequence within a single interface. The create-team step is now embedded directly in the connect wizard, so your team is set up automatically as part of the connection process without any additional navigation required.
🛠️ How to Use It
- Navigate to Site Metrics → Site Explorer in the left sidebar.
- Click Connect GSC Account (or Connect GA Account) to launch the new unified wizard.
- Select the desired scope for your connector when prompted.
- Review and confirm the required permissions in the next step.
- Complete the Create Team step to finalize your setup — all within the same wizard flow.
- Click Finish to activate your connector with the configured settings.
📋 What to Expect
The wizard guides you linearly through each step, so you cannot skip scope or permission selection before reaching team creation. Existing connectors already configured are not affected by this change. If you exit the wizard before completing all steps, your progress will not be saved and you will need to restart the connection flow from the beginning.
