Clicking Post Now on a social media project with an approval setting enabled (Approve for Publish or Approve if Image) may route the post into Pending Approvals instead of publishing it immediately. Use the workaround below to approve and publish your post while the deployed fix takes full effect.
🔍 What's Happening
When Post Now is clicked on a project with an active approval setting, the post is silently placed in Pending Approvals instead of going live. It waits for manual approval, transitions to Scheduled, and is only then picked up by the publishing scheduler. No error or warning appears at the time of clicking, so the delay is not immediately visible.
This affects any project with either of these settings enabled:
- Approve for Publish
- Approve if Image
🛠️ Workaround Steps
To publish the post as quickly as possible after clicking Post Now:
- In the left sidebar, go to Social → Pending Approvals.
- Find the post in Pending Approvals status.
- Click Approve — the scheduler will pick it up and publish it within minutes.
If the post must publish without any scheduler delay, use this alternative:
- Go to Project Settings and temporarily disable Approve for Publish or Approve if Image.
- Return to your post and click Post Now.
- Once the post has published, return to Project Settings and re-enable the approval setting.
