🔍 Why Did You Receive This Email?
Search Atlas sends automatic email notifications whenever a new user account is created or an existing account is deactivated on your workspace. These emails are a standard security measure to keep account owners and administrators informed of any changes to team access.
If you received one of these emails, it simply means one of the following events occurred on your Search Atlas workspace:
- A new team member was invited and their account was successfully created.
- An existing team member's account was deactivated by a workspace administrator.
- Your own account was set up for the first time when you were added to a workspace.
✅ What You Should Do Next
In most cases, no action is required on your part. However, we recommend taking a moment to verify the activity in your account:
- Log in to your Search Atlas account.
- Navigate to your account settings.
- Review the list of team members and their current statuses to confirm everything looks as expected.
If the team member listed in the email is someone you or a colleague intentionally added or removed, there is nothing further to do.
🚨 What If You Don't Recognise the Activity?
If the email references an account creation or deactivation that you did not authorise and cannot explain, treat this as a potential security concern and act immediately:
- Change your password right away by going to your account settings.
- Review all team members in your account settings and remove any accounts you do not recognise.
- Contact your workspace administrator to confirm whether the change was intentional.
Acting quickly helps protect your workspace data and prevents any unauthorised access from continuing.
💡 Who Can Manage Team Members?
Only users with administrative permissions can invite new team members or deactivate existing ones. If you received a notification but do not manage your workspace, reach out to your workspace administrator to confirm the change was intentional.
