If you upload a website that was exported as a compiled JavaScript bundle (for example a Vite or Rollup build), the AI page builder can't edit its pages because the content and navigation are locked inside minified code. Re-export your site so the content lives in standard editable HTML, and the editor will be able to make changes.
🔍 What's Happening With Compiled Bundle Uploads
Some site exports place all of your page content and navigation inside a single minified JavaScript file (commonly named /assets/App-*.js). Each .html page is mostly empty and just loads that one bundle.
Because the actual content lives inside minified JavaScript, the AI page builder can't safely read or modify it. Previously, the builder appeared to start working and then failed silently partway through creating or editing a page.
Who Is Affected
You may see this if your site was built with a Vite/Rollup-style static site generator (SSG) that compiles every page into one shared minified bundle. Sites whose .html files contain the real markup and navigation are not affected.
What you'll see now: the upload is rejected up front with an HTTP 400 error explaining that the file type isn't supported, so you get a clear message instead of a silent failure mid-edit.
🛠️ Workaround: Upload an Editable HTML Version
Re-export or rebuild your website so the page content lives in editable HTML rather than a compiled JavaScript bundle. Then upload that version.
