🔍 What Are AI Visibility Projects?
AI Visibility projects let you monitor and improve how your brand appears across AI-powered search engines and large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. Each project tracks a specific domain or brand, and the number of projects you can create depends on your current Search Atlas plan.
📋 How Many AI Visibility Projects Can I Create?
The number of AI Visibility projects included in your plan varies by subscription tier. Most plans include a set number of project slots, and once you reach that limit, you will not be able to create additional projects without expanding your quota. Here is a general overview:
- Starter Plan: Access to 1 AI Visibility project (available via a 30-day promotional activation).
- Higher-tier plans: A defined number of project slots based on your subscription. Check your current quota inside the platform under Avatar (top-right) → Billing (Plans & Top-ups).
To see exactly how many AI Visibility project slots your plan includes, click your avatar (top-right) and go to Billing (Plans & Top-ups) inside the platform. Your available and used slots are displayed there.
➕ How to Add More AI Visibility Projects Beyond Your Limit
If you have used all your available AI Visibility project slots and need more, you have two options:
- Upgrade your plan: Moving to a higher-tier subscription increases the number of AI Visibility project slots included by default. Click your avatar (top-right) and go to Billing (Plans & Top-ups) to review the available plans to find one that meets your needs.
- Top up your quota: Some plans allow you to purchase additional AI Visibility project slots on top of your existing plan without upgrading. Under Avatar → Billing (Plans & Top-ups), look for the AI Visibility Projects row and select the option to add more slots. You will be directed to billing to complete the purchase.
If you see an Unlimited label next to AI Visibility Projects in your Quotas dropdown alongside a Go to billing to Top Up button, this is a known display issue that our team is actively resolving. Your actual entitlement is based on your plan, not the label shown. Use the Top Up option or contact support for clarification.
🤖 Can I Also Add More OTTO SEO Projects?
Yes. OTTO SEO projects have their own separate quota, independent of AI Visibility projects. If you need additional OTTO SEO project slots, the same options apply:
- Upgrade to a plan that includes more OTTO SEO projects by default.
- Purchase additional OTTO SEO slots via Avatar → Billing (Plans & Top-ups) if top-up is available on your plan.
Both AI Visibility and OTTO SEO project slots can be managed from the same Avatar → Billing (Plans & Top-ups) area.
⚠️ Common Issues and What They Mean
- The "Activate" button appears but nothing happens: If you are at zero available AI Visibility project slots and still see an Activate button with no error or prompt, this is a known issue. Our engineering team has resolved the underlying problem, but if you continue to experience this, please reach out via the chat widget.
- Your project count looks lower than expected: If the AI Visibility dashboard shows fewer projects than your plan entitles you to, this is a known display bug currently under review. Your projects are not deleted — it is a visibility issue only. Our team is working on a fix.
- Quotas show "Unlimited" incorrectly: As noted above, this is a display inconsistency being corrected. Your true limit is defined by your plan tier.
🛠️ Step-by-Step: Check and Expand Your AI Visibility Quota
- Log in to your Search Atlas account.
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner and go to Billing.
- Open the Plans & Top-ups tab.
- Find the AI Visibility Projects row to see your current usage and available slots.
- If you need more slots, click Top Up or navigate to Billing to upgrade your plan.
- After completing your purchase, return to the AI Visibility section and create your new project.
