Why Was I Charged?

If you signed up for a demo, free trial, or promotional offer with Search Atlas, your account may have automatically converted to a paid subscription at the end of that period. This transition — and the billing date — is outlined in the terms presented during sign-up.

Common reasons customers see an unexpected charge include:

  • A free trial ended and the account automatically converted to a paid plan.
  • A promotional or special offer included a paid subscription that activated after the trial window.
  • Payment details were entered during sign-up, triggering automatic billing at the close of the trial.

Refund Eligibility

Search Atlas reviews refund requests on a case-by-case basis. While we cannot guarantee a refund in every situation, we handle unexpected or disputed charges fairly and promptly. Factors we consider include:

  • How recently the charge occurred.
  • Whether the subscription features were used after the trial ended.
  • The type of plan or promotional offer you signed up for.

Annual plan charges are reviewed with the same care, but we encourage you to reach out as soon as possible, as annual payments may have different processing timelines.

Cancellation Does Not Automatically Trigger a Refund

Cancelling your subscription stops future billing, but it does not automatically issue a refund for a charge that has already been made. These are two separate requests, and a refund must be requested directly with our support team.
