🔍 Why Your Inactive Website Cannot Be Reactivated

Last updated on Nov 03, 2026

📋 What Inactive Status Means

A website shows as Inactive after our Internal Team completes a holistic review of the website against our Terms and Conditions. The review looks at the account as a whole, not only at the verification step. If the website is found to be in breach of the Terms and Conditions, its status is set to Inactive.

🏷️ Why Adding the Verification Tag Does Not Fix It

Many customers notice the Inactive status after they add the verification tag to their website's header and try to verify it. Adding the tag again or requesting a new one will not change the outcome. The verification tag is not the cause of the Inactive status, and it cannot be used to restore the website.

🚫 Reactivation Is Not Available

The Inactive decision is final. The website or account is not eligible for reactivation, and we cannot issue a new verification metatag for it. Please do not request a new tag or ask for the existing one to be reused, because these requests will not be approved.

⚠️ Do Not Create Alternate Accounts

Please do not create a new account or add the same website under another account after a website has been set to Inactive. Attempts to get around an Inactive decision through alternate accounts are not permitted and may lead to further action on your accounts.

✅ What You Can Do Next

  1. Review the Terms and Conditions to understand the rules that apply to websites on our platform.
  2. Check whether the website, or any other website on your account, may have been involved in activity that goes against those rules.
  3. Stop using the verification tag for this website and do not attempt to verify it again.
  4. If you have questions about the decision, contact our team using the steps below.
