🧭 Overview
When you update your whitelabel domain in Search Atlas, any previously installed OTTO pixels tied to your old domain may stop reporting as active. The pixel code is domain-specific, so a domain change typically requires obtaining a fresh pixel code and reinstalling it. If you are working inside HighLevel (GoHighLevel), this article explains what to do and what information to have ready.
⚠️ Why Your OTTO Pixel Shows as Not Installed
After a whitelabel domain update, the pixel code previously installed on your site may no longer be recognized as valid because it was associated with your previous domain. Any site still carrying the old pixel code may show a not installed status because:
- The old pixel references your previous domain and may no longer be valid.
- Search Atlas may not be able to verify ownership or activity through a domain it no longer recognizes as yours.
- HighLevel sites can cache scripts, which may cause the status to appear stuck even after an update.
Obtaining your updated pixel code and reinstalling it is typically required after a domain change — this is expected behavior, not a bug.
🛠️ How to Reinstall the OTTO Pixel After a Whitelabel Domain Change
Because the exact steps for retrieving an updated pixel code may vary depending on your account setup, we recommend the following approach:
- Log in to Search Atlas and navigate to the OTTO SEO or OTTO section of your dashboard.
- Open the OTTO workspace for the relevant client or project.
- Locate the OTTO Pixel area within your workspace settings and retrieve the current pixel code associated with your updated whitelabel domain.
- Copy the full pixel script that appears.
- In HighLevel, open the site or funnel where the pixel needs to be installed and paste the new pixel code into the appropriate tracking code field at the site or funnel level.
- Save your changes and allow time for the status to update in Search Atlas.
If you are unsure where to find the pixel code in your dashboard or how to add it in HighLevel, please reach out to our support team with your project name, your old and new whitelabel domain names, and a description of where the pixel is currently showing as not installed. This will allow us to confirm the correct steps for your specific setup.
