🧭 Overview
If you have a saved but unpublished press release in PR Distribution, you can still make edits — including adding disclosures — before it goes live. This article explains how to locate your unpublished press release and open it for editing.
📋 Before You Begin
- Make sure you are logged in to your Search Atlas account.
- Navigate to the PR Distribution tool from the left-hand menu.
- Confirm that your press release has not yet been published.
🔍 Step 1: Locate Your Unpublished Press Release
- Open the PR Distribution tool.
- Browse your list of press releases and find the one you want to edit.
- Confirm it is not yet published — it should appear without a live publication date or show a draft indicator.
✏️ Step 2: Open the Press Release for Editing
- Select or click on your unpublished press release to open it.
- Look for an Edit option within the press release workflow and click it to open the content editor.
- Make any changes you need — including updating the headline, body copy, formatting, or other details.
📝 Step 3: Add Disclosures to Your Press Release
If you need to include a disclosure, add it directly inside the body of your press release within the editor.
- Scroll to the bottom of your press release content in the editor.
- Type your disclosure text at the end of the body — for example: Disclosure: [Your disclosure statement here.]
- You can use formatting to visually distinguish the disclosure from the main content.
- Once you have finished editing, save your changes and proceed through the remaining workflow steps to complete publishing when you are ready.
✅ Step 4: Complete the Publishing Workflow
- After saving your edits, proceed through the remaining steps of the publishing workflow at your own pace.
- Review any distribution or channel options presented before confirming publication.
- Only confirm publication when you are satisfied with all content and settings.
