🔍 Overview
Search Atlas allows agencies to host reports and dashboards under a custom branded domain using GoHighLevel (GHL) as the CMS layer. If your white-label domain link is not working, it typically means one or more steps in the DNS or platform configuration are incomplete. This article walks you through the general process for resolving white-label domain issues with GoHighLevel integration.
✅ Before You Begin
Make sure you have the following ready before configuring your white-label domain:
- Admin access to your GoHighLevel account
- Access to your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare) to manage DNS records
- Admin access to your Search Atlas account
- Your chosen subdomain or root domain (e.g., reports.youragency.com)
⚙️ Step 1: Add Your Domain in GoHighLevel
Log in to your GoHighLevel account and locate the domain management area. Add the domain or subdomain you want to use for white-labeling. GoHighLevel will provide DNS records you must add to your domain registrar. Copy these DNS values before proceeding to the next step.
🛠️ Step 2: Update DNS Records at Your Registrar
Log in to your domain registrar and navigate to the DNS management section for your domain. Add the DNS record(s) provided by GoHighLevel, using the host/subdomain prefix and target value it specifies. Save your changes and allow time for DNS propagation — this can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours depending on your registrar and TTL settings. Before moving on, confirm that your subdomain resolves correctly to the GoHighLevel target.
🔗 Step 3: Connect Your Domain Inside Search Atlas
Once DNS has propagated, you will need to complete the white-label domain configuration inside Search Atlas to activate your branded domain. Log in to your Search Atlas account with admin credentials and locate the white-label domain settings within the platform. Enter the domain or subdomain you configured in GoHighLevel and save your settings. Test your white-label domain link to confirm it loads your branded reports or dashboard without errors.
