💡 Overview

When browsing publications in Search Atlas, you may notice that some listings display a set price — for example, $2. This article explains how publication pricing works and how to submit a counter-offer directly from your account.

📋 How Publication Pricing Works

Each publication listed in Search Atlas has a price set by the publisher. These prices reflect the publisher's requirements for sponsored or guest content placement and are not set by Search Atlas. The price you see on a listing — such as $2 — is the publisher's rate for that placement.

Search Atlas supports a counter-offer feature that allows you to propose a different price to the publisher. The publisher then has the option to accept, decline, or negotiate further.

  • Counter-offers are sent directly to the publisher for review.
  • Search Atlas does not control whether a publisher accepts or rejects your proposed price.
  • There is no guarantee that a counter-offer will be accepted, even if your proposed price is reasonable.

🛠️ How to Submit a Counter-Offer

Follow these steps to submit a counter-offer for a publication listing in Search Atlas:

  1. Log in to your Search Atlas account and navigate to the Guest Post Marketplace.
  2. Browse or search for the publication you want to place content on, then open its listing.
  3. On the listing page, locate the pricing section and select the Counter-Offer option next to the listed price.
  4. Enter your proposed price in the field provided.
  5. Review your offer and click Submit to send it to the publisher.
  6. The publisher will be notified and can accept, decline, or respond with a revised price. You will receive a notification when they respond.

If you do not see a counter-offer option on a particular listing, that publisher may have disabled the feature for their placement.

⚠️ Important Things to Know

  • Publisher decisions are final. Search Atlas acts as the marketplace platform but does not influence publisher pricing decisions.
  • Low counter-offers may be declined. If a listed price is already low (such as $2), the publisher may not accept a lower proposal.
  • Response times vary. Publishers set their own response timelines. If you do not hear back promptly, you may wish to contact another publication or adjust your offer.
