🔍 Overview
Search Atlas offers a 7-day free trial so you can explore the platform before committing to a paid plan. If you decide it's not the right fit, you can cancel before the trial ends to avoid being billed. This article explains how to request cancellation of your trial subscription and removal of your saved payment method.
⏰ When You Need to Cancel
Your free trial lasts 7 days from the date you signed up. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your account will automatically roll over to a paid subscription and your card on file will be charged. To avoid any charges, make sure to cancel before your trial expiry date.
🛠️ How to Cancel Your Trial Subscription
You can cancel your trial subscription yourself directly from the dashboard:
- Click your profile avatar.
- Go to Billing → Services.
- Click the ⋮ (three-dot) menu on your plan.
- Select Cancel.
- Review the confirmation/retention step, then confirm the cancellation.
After cancelling, you will retain access to the platform until the end of your current billing period. If you change your mind, you can reverse a pending cancellation from the same place by clicking Activate. Contacting support is optional, not required, to cancel.
💳 How to Remove Your Payment Method
You can remove a saved card yourself from the dashboard when you have more than one card on file:
- Click your profile avatar.
- Go to Billing → Plans & Top-ups tab.
- Open the payment method section.
- Click Remove on the card you want to delete and confirm Yes, remove card.
You can also click Set as primary to change your default card. The Remove button only appears when you have more than one saved card — the last/only card on file cannot be removed this way. To replace your only card, add a new one using Add Payment Method, set it as primary, then remove the old one. If you need to remove your only saved card, please contact our support team and have ready:
- The email address on your account
- Confirmation that your subscription has been cancelled (or request both cancellation and card removal together)
💰 What If I Was Already Charged?
If your trial period has ended and a charge has already been applied to your card, please reach out to our support team as soon as possible. Our team can review your account, process a cancellation, and advise on next steps regarding any applicable refund. When contacting us, please have your account email address and the charge details (amount and date) ready.
If you need further assistance, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type human teammate to be connected with a member of our team.
