Overview
OTTO performs automatic site audits on a recurring schedule so you always have fresh SEO data without manual intervention. This article explains what to expect from OTTO's recrawl process and how to locate specific audit issues — such as Page not in sitemap — inside your audit results.
How Automatic Recrawl Scheduling Works
OTTO is designed to run site audits automatically for your project. You generally do not need to trigger recrawls manually under normal circumstances.
Here is what to expect from the automatic recrawl process:
- OTTO initiates audit crawls on a recurring schedule managed by the platform.
- When a crawl completes, OTTO processes the results and updates your audit data automatically.
- Refreshed issue counts, affected page totals, and recommendations will appear once the crawl finishes — no action is required on your part.
- If your audit data appears stale or not yet updated, allow some time after the scheduled crawl window before concluding data has not refreshed, as processing can take time depending on your site's size.
How to Find Specific Audit Issues
Issues such as Page not in sitemap are grouped and listed within your OTTO audit results. To locate a specific issue:
- In the left sidebar, go to OTTO SEO → Site Audit.
- Select your project to open its Site Audit results.
- Browse or search the list of flagged issues to find the one you are looking for, such as Page not in sitemap.
- Select the issue to view the full list of affected pages and any available guidance on addressing it.
If an issue you expect to see does not appear, the crawl may still be processing. Wait for the audit to complete and then refresh your view.
