How Atlas Brain Uses Your Plan Quota
As Atlas Brain continues to develop, we are standardizing how AI-powered usage is managed across the platform. This is a
necessary step to help us manage usage consistently, maintain a reliable experience, and continue investing in Atlas
Brain.
Atlas Brain was previously available without a separate usage quota and is now moving to a plan-based quota model that
uses AI Agent credits. We understand that changes to a familiar product experience can raise important questions. To
support this transition, we have added a 10% Atlas Brain bonus quota for this month. This article explains what is
changing, how the transition works, where to check your usage, and what options are available if you need additional
quota.
What changed with Atlas Brain quotas?
Atlas Brain used to be available without a set limit. It now uses a quota that depends on your plan, like other Search
Atlas tools. Each Atlas Brain task uses credits from your plan, and the amount depends on how much work the task needs.
A short question uses fewer credits than a long, multi-step task.
Did I get any extra Atlas Brain quota during the transition?
Yes. To make the change easier, we added a 10% bonus to your Atlas Brain quota for this month. It was applied
automatically, and you do not need to do anything.
The bonus applies only to Atlas Brain. All other platform quotas and tool limits stay at your standard plan levels.
Where can I see my Atlas Brain usage?
Go to Billing in your dashboard to see your current usage and remaining quota. Inside an Atlas Brain chat, a banner
above the message box also warns you when your credits are running low.
When does my quota reset?
Your Atlas Brain quota resets with your billing cycle, together with the rest of your plan quotas.
What happens when I run out of Atlas Brain quota?
Atlas Brain shows the message "You're out of AI Agent credits." You can add more credits from Billing or move to a plan
with a larger allowance. Your projects, reports, and other Search Atlas tools are not affected.
Can I use Hyperdrive Credits (HDC) for Atlas Brain?
No. Hyperdrive Credits can only be used to top up URL Indexer quota. They cannot be used for Atlas Brain.
What if the new quota is not enough for my team?
If your team needs more than your plan includes, reach out through live chat. We can review your current usage and check
whether a higher plan or an adjustment fits your workflow.
Why wasn't this announced before it happened?
We rolled this update out quickly to standardize how quotas work across the platform, and we applied the 10% Atlas Brain
bonus to every account to bridge the transition. We have shared your feedback with our team so future updates are
communicated sooner.
