Looks Like a Duplicate Charge? How to Check

I think I was charged twice — how do I check?

Two charges close together are not automatically duplicates. The most common legitimate reasons:

  • Plan plus a separate top-up or add-on — different purchases appear as separate charges on the same statement.
  • A recurring top-up — a top-up set to renew monthly charges again on each billing date until cancelled.
  • An auto top-up trigger — if auto top-up is enabled, each low-balance trigger creates a separate one-time charge.
  • Separate billing accounts — for example a direct Search Atlas subscription and a Shopify-managed subscription bill independently.

How to verify

  1. Open Billing in your account.
  2. Review Invoices, Plans & Top-ups, Services, and the Activity Log.
  3. Compare the dates, amounts, and descriptions of both charges.

Still looks like a duplicate?

If both charges cover the same plan and the same period, or the invoice line items do not explain the difference, contact us via live chat with the dates, amounts, and invoice numbers — we will verify them against your billing records. Please contact us before disputing with your bank.
