🧾 How Atlas Brain credits work

Atlas Brain converts the cost of the AI work it performs into credits. Usage is based on factors such as the amount of text processed, the model used, the number of steps required, and any connected actions or tools.

Credits are tracked through your account quota. Usage may appear shortly after a request finishes because credits are recorded asynchronously. New requests can be restricted when your available balance, including the account’s usage buffer, is no longer sufficient.

💳 Why one task may use 25 credits

Yes, using 25 credits while optimizing one client from multiple playbooks can be expected. A playbook may require several AI steps, long inputs and outputs, analysis of existing pages, and actions such as creating recommendations or link-building work.

The number of playbooks alone does not determine the cost. Two similar-looking requests can use different amounts depending on the content analyzed and the work Atlas Brain needs to complete.

📊 Understanding your credit balance

Your plan may include a limited Atlas Brain allowance, such as 100 credits, along with any applicable purchased or topped-up credits. Credits are separate from other Search Atlas limits and should not be confused with legacy query quotas.

Check the billing or quota area in the platform for your available balance and usage. If the displayed balance does not match recent activity, allow time for usage to finish syncing before checking again.

⚙️ Ways to reduce credit usage

  • Use a focused prompt that names one client, page, issue, and desired outcome.
  • Run only the playbook steps you need instead of several overlapping playbooks.
  • Provide concise source material and avoid including unrelated pages or large content sets.
  • Break broad projects into smaller, targeted requests so you can review results between steps.
  • Reuse completed recommendations instead of asking Atlas Brain to repeat the same analysis.
  • Review the expected scope before starting actions that analyze many pages or create multiple deliverables.

🛑 What happens when credits run low

Atlas Brain may allow a request to finish while final usage is being recorded. Once the system determines that your available quota is insufficient, new requests may be blocked until credits are added or your allowance renews.

Because usage is based on actual AI processing costs, there is no single fixed credit price for every prompt. Shorter, more specific prompts can help, but they do not guarantee a particular credit amount.

💬 When to contact support

If your balance appears incorrect, credits are missing after a top-up, or Atlas Brain reports an outdated quota, capture the request details and wait briefly for usage to sync.
