Updated over a week ago

This guide walks you through leveraging Smart Ads in Search Atlas to build and optimize your Google Ads campaigns.

Account Setup:

Here's a Loom with the exact steps!

Path:

Left sidebar → Smart Ads → + Create New Campaign → Add New Account

1. Open Smart Ads

  1. Log in to your Search Atlas account.

  2. In the left sidebar, click Smart Ads.

  3. You’ll land in the Campaign Hub / Google Ads Launch Wizard view.

2. Start a New Campaign (this triggers the account check)

  1. At the top of Campaign Hub, click the blue + Create new campaign button.

  2. If you don’t have an active Google Ads account connected, a Select Google Ads Account window will open.

3. Add a New Google Ads Account

  1. In the Select Google Ads Account window, click Add New Account (or New account, depending on your UI).

  2. A Google sign-in / permissions window will open in a new tab or popup.

  3. Choose the Google account that owns the Google Ads profile you want to connect.

  4. Grant all requested permissions so Search Atlas can manage and read your campaigns.

4. Confirm the Account Inside Smart Ads

  1. After you authorize Google, you’ll be redirected back to Search Atlas.

  2. In the Select Google Ads Account window, you should now see the new Google Ads account in the list (with its Google Ads ID).

  3. Click on that account row and make sure it shows as Selected.

  4. Click Continue or close the selector (depending on your UI) to return to the Create new campaign flow.

5. Continue Creating Your Campaign

  1. Back on the Google Ads Launch Wizard, confirm that your selected Google Ads account is visible in the top account selector (e.g., “HouseStay – Google Ads ID: 5433…”)

  2. Now fill out your campaign settings (business, campaign type, ad group, etc.) and proceed through the wizard.

6. Important Usage Notes

  • Your Smart Ads subscription allows one active Google Ads account per subscription.

  • If you need to manage additional accounts, you’ll need the Google Ads Add-On, and even then only one account can be active per Search Atlas email at a time.
