💡 Why AI Agent Credits Run Out Quickly

Last updated on Oct 29, 2026

📌 Overview

Some customers see their AI agent credits fall much faster than expected, sometimes within a single day. This article explains the most common causes, how to check where your credits went, how to avoid duplicate usage, and what to do if you believe credits were used in error.

🔍 Common Reasons Credits Drop Quickly

AI agent credits are used each time an agent runs a task. Usage can add up quickly in these situations:

  • Repeated runs: Starting the same task more than once, for example because it looked stuck, can use credits each time.
  • Large tasks: Tasks that cover many pages, keywords, or a whole site generally use more credits than small, focused ones.
  • Several tabs or sessions: If the platform is open in more than one tab or browser, the same task may be started or retried from each one.
  • Browser or connection problems: A tab crash, a refresh, or a dropped session does not stop a task that is already running. The agent keeps working on the server, and when you reopen the platform the conversation usually shows the finished result rather than an unfinished task.
  • Several team members on one account: Others working on the same project can use credits without you seeing it.

🌐 Tab Crashes and Session Disconnects

If your browser tab crashes or your session disconnects while an AI agent is working, the task keeps running in the background and its result is saved to the conversation, even if that tab never showed it. If you start the task again anyway, that second run uses credits a second time.

If you notice this, wait a few minutes before restarting a task. Then check whether the earlier result has appeared in your project.

📊 How to Check Where Your Credits Went

  1. Log in to the platform and open the AI Agent. On the home screen, open the Activity tab. You can filter it by project or domain, but credits are shared across the whole account, not tracked per project.
  2. Review your recent AI agent activity. Each entry is a deliverable or report from one of your own conversations, with its title, project, and how long ago it was created. It is not a list of credit charges, and it does not show work done by other people on the account.
  3. Look for the same task listed several times in a short period.
  4. Note the dates, times, and task names. You will need them if you contact support.
  5. If you work with a team, ask them whether they ran any tasks during the same period.

🛡️ How to Prevent Duplicate Credit Usage

  • Keep the platform open in one tab while an AI agent is running.
  • Do not refresh the page or close the tab until the task finishes.
  • Before re-running a task, wait a few minutes and check whether the result is already in your project.
  • Use a stable internet connection for longer tasks.
  • Update your browser and disable extensions that may interfere with the platform.
  • Start with smaller tasks, such as a single page or a short list, before running larger ones.
  • Agree with your team on who runs which tasks so work is not repeated.

🔄 Requesting a Credit Review

If you think credits were used twice because of a crash, a disconnect, or an error, you can ask our team to review your usage. Credit adjustments are reviewed case by case, and a request is not guaranteed to be approved. A review may not result in reimbursement if the tasks ran successfully or the usage matches the actions taken on your account.

To help us review your request quickly, include the following:

  • The domain or project name
  • The dates and approximate times when the problem happened
  • The names of the tasks or agents involved
  • What you saw, such as a crash, a disconnect, or an error message
  • Screenshots of the activity or usage, if available
  • The number of credits you expected to use and the number actually used

✅ What to Expect After You Ask

  • Our team reviews the activity on your account against the details you provide.
  • If a duplicate or failed run is confirmed, we will tell you what options are available.
  • If the usage is confirmed as valid, we will explain how the credits were used so you can plan future tasks.
