💳 Publisher Payment Not Received: What to Do

Last updated on Oct 29, 2026

📌 Overview

If you are a publisher and have not received a payment yet, this article explains what to check first, what a remittance ID is, and what information to share so our team can look into it quickly.

🔎 What Is a Remittance ID?

The payment reference publishers can use is the PayPal Transaction ID. It identifies a specific payout after payment is sent and appears in your payment email and on the Remittances tab. Our team can use it with PayPal to trace that payout.

  • Once a payout is confirmed, it should have a PayPal Transaction ID. That ID may not be available at the exact moment the payout is submitted, and it appears in your confirmation email and on the Remittances tab after it is recorded.
  • If a payment has not been sent yet, you will not have a PayPal Transaction ID. That is normal. Our team can check why it has not been sent.

⏳ Why a Payment May Be Delayed

Most payment delays have a simple explanation. Common reasons include:

  • Processing time: Payments are not always instant. Banks and payment providers can take extra time, especially across countries or over weekends and holidays.
  • Payment may not be released yet if the remittance is on hold or site verification is blocking the payout. A posted article that is still being validated does not by itself stop payment. Our team can check which one applies.
  • Incomplete payment details: Missing or outdated payout information can stop a payment from being sent.
  • Incorrect payment details: A typo in your account name, number, or payout address can cause a payment to fail or be returned.
  • Provider-side holds: Your bank or payment provider may hold or flag an incoming payment for its own checks.

✅ Step-by-Step: What to Check First

  1. Confirm the work is complete. Make sure the content or order tied to the payment was delivered and approved.
  2. Review your payout details. Check that your payment method, account name, and account details are correct and up to date.
  3. Check your payment provider. Look at your bank or payment account for pending, processing, or returned transactions.
  4. Look for a payment notification. If you received a confirmation message, it may include a remittance ID or reference number. Save it.
  5. Allow reasonable processing time. If the payment was only recently sent, it may still be on its way.

📝 Information to Have Ready

Having these details ready helps our team resolve your case faster:

  • Your name and the account name used on the platform
  • The remittance ID or payment reference, if you have one
  • The date and amount of the expected payment

💡 Tips to Avoid Payment Delays

  • Use a payment account that is active and able to receive funds from international senders.
  • Keep your payment notifications and reference numbers in a safe place.
  • Write down the date you expected payment so it is easy to follow up.
  • Share all details in one message instead of sending several short ones. It helps our team find the issue sooner.
