πŸ” Overview

When Search Atlas automatically publishes blog content to your Google Business Profile (GBP), you may notice that paragraph breaks disappear β€” leaving all your text merged into one unbroken block. This is a known formatting issue that affects readability on your GBP listing.

βš™οΈ Why This Happens

When a blog post is converted and published automatically to GBP, paragraph spacing that looks correct during content generation can collapse at the point of publishing. The result is that sentences and paragraphs are run together into a single continuous block of text, with no visible spacing between them.

Our engineering team is actively tracking this issue (CG-1301) and working on a permanent fix. In the meantime, you can use the workaround below to ensure your GBP posts display with proper spacing.

πŸ› οΈ Workaround: Manually Edit the Post Before Publishing

You can review and adjust automated GBP posts before they go live, or edit them immediately after publishing. Follow these steps:

  1. In the left sidebar, click Local, then select Posts.
  2. Locate the automated post generated from your blog content.
  3. Open the post to enter the editor.
  4. Review the text and identify where paragraph breaks are missing.
  5. Place your cursor at the end of each paragraph and add a blank line to restore spacing.
  6. Save and republish the post to apply your changes.

πŸ’‘ Tips for Better Readability

  • Keep paragraphs short. Aim for 2–4 sentences per paragraph so your GBP post is easy to scan.
  • Review before publishing. If your workflow allows, check every automated post in the Posts section before it goes live.
  • Use clear sentence breaks. Strong punctuation and varied sentence length help readability even when spacing is limited.

πŸ“Š Current Status

This formatting issue is a confirmed bug being addressed by the Search Atlas engineering team. Once the fix is deployed, paragraph spacing in automated blog-to-GBP posts will be preserved correctly from generation through to publishing β€” no manual editing required.
