📌 Retention overview
Cloud stacks and press releases do not have one universal expiration date. Their availability depends on the service, the publishing site, and whether the item is removed or changed.
☁️ Cloud stack duration
A cloud stack remains in place while its configured publishing sites continue to host the content and the stack remains active in Search Atlas. Search Atlas does not promise that every third-party site will keep a page live indefinitely.
A site may remove, update, or stop serving a page because of its own policies, maintenance, content changes, or technical issues. These changes can affect the stack even when no action is taken in Search Atlas.
📰 Press release duration
A press release remains available on each publisher's site according to that publisher's retention policy. Some publishers may keep releases live indefinitely, while others may archive or remove them after a period of time. Search Atlas cannot guarantee a permanent live URL on every third-party publisher.
Distribution completion does not guarantee that every publisher will accept, index, or retain the release. The publisher's live page is the best source for confirming current availability.
🔎 How to check status and self-serve common questions
- To check the status of a press release, log in to Search Atlas and locate the relevant release in your account. Review any URLs that were generated at the time of distribution and visit them directly in your browser to confirm whether the page is currently live.
- If a URL no longer loads, the publisher has removed or archived the release according to their own policy — this is outside Search Atlas's control.
- To check the status of a cloud stack, log in to Search Atlas and locate the relevant stack in your account. Review the publishing sites associated with that stack and visit their published URLs directly in your browser to confirm whether those pages are still live.
- If a page is no longer available, the hosting site may have removed it due to their own content or maintenance policies.
- If a cloud stack or press release was recently submitted and URLs are not yet appearing, allow time for indexing and propagation, as this can take hours to days depending on the publisher.
- If pages were live previously and have since disappeared without any action on your end, note the specific URLs, the item name, and the approximate date the content was last confirmed live before reaching out for support.
