π Overview
If you publish Search Atlas links on your website, you may wonder when your payment will arrive. This article explains how payouts are grouped into remittance batches, why a payment can take longer than expected, and what to do if you think yours is overdue.
π How Publisher Payouts Work
Publisher payments are not sent one by one at the moment a link goes live. They move through a series of steps:
- Placement confirmation: The link is published and checked to make sure it is live and matches the agreed details.
- Payment approval: Once the placement is verified, it is added to the list of payments awaiting approval.
- Remittance batch: Approved payments are grouped and sent together on a scheduled cycle, not on demand.
- Bank or payment provider processing: After the batch is sent, your bank or payment provider may need extra time to deliver the funds.
Because payments are sent in batches, a payment that is approved just after a batch closes will usually wait for the next one. This is the most common reason payouts feel late.
β³ Why a Payout May Be Delayed
Several things can push a payment past the date you expected:
- Batch timing: The placement was approved after the latest batch was prepared.
- Verification still in progress: A link may need to be rechecked before payment is approved.
- Missing or incorrect payment details: Wrong account information or incomplete details can stop a payment from being sent.
- Multiple placements in one payout: Large groups of links may be reviewed together, which can take longer than a single placement.
- Provider or bank delays: Even after a payment is sent, it can take extra time to arrive, especially for international transfers.
π What to Check First
Before reaching out, quickly go through this checklist. It can often solve the problem or speed up the investigation.
- Confirm that your payment details (account holder name, account number or payment address) are correct and up to date.
- Check that every link you expect to be paid for is still live and unchanged on your site.
- Look for any payment confirmation or status update from us or your payment provider.
- Check your bank or payment account for pending or incoming transfers.
- Note the date each link went live, so we can compare it with the batch schedule.
β οΈ Please Don't Remove Links Before Contacting Us
If your payment feels overdue, we understand the frustration, especially when several links are involved. Removing links before the payment is resolved can make it harder to verify placements and sort out the payout. Please contact our team first so we can check the status of your payment and tell you what is happening.
π What to Include When You Contact Us
The more detail you share, the faster we can find your payment. Please have the following ready:
