πŸ“Œ Overview

If you are a Publication Media publisher and your payment still shows as pending, that is expected until the payout is issued. This article explains what a pending status means, how publisher payments are grouped and paid, and what you can do to help your payment move forward.

⏳ What Does "Pending" Mean?

A pending payment is one that has been recorded for your account but has not yet been completed or released to you. A pending status does not mean your earnings were lost or removed. It means the payment is still moving through the review and processing steps.

πŸ“… How the Monthly Payment Schedule Works

Publisher payments are not paid out instantly after each completed item. Approved posted articles are grouped into an unpaid remittance, which can be reused for 7 days, and our team then sends the payment through PayPal. In general, the process looks like this:

  1. Work is completed: Your content is published with a live URL that contains a follow link, and that posted article is recorded on your account.
  2. Payment grouping: Qualifying posted articles are added to your current unpaid remittance.
  3. Payment is prepared: Qualifying earnings are grouped into your upcoming remittance.
  4. Payment is sent: Our team sends the remittance to the PayPal Email on your account. Until that payout is completed, the remittance status stays unpaid.
  5. Payment is completed: After PayPal confirms the payout, the remittance status changes to paid and you receive a payment email with the amount and PayPal Transaction ID.

Because of this cycle, a payment can stay pending for a period of time before it is completed. Your bank or payment provider may also need additional time to deliver the funds after we release them.

πŸ” Common Reasons a Payment Stays Pending

  • PayPal Email is missing: The PayPal Email in Account Settings is blank, so the payout cannot be sent.
  • Work is not yet payable: One or more published articles do not yet have Posted-Follow status, so they have not been added to a remittance.
  • The payout has not been sent yet: Payable articles are grouped into an unpaid remittance, and the Earning page states that payouts are issued during the first week of each month for earnings cleared in the previous month. The payment stays unpaid until our team sends it.
  • Site verification is needed: If your site or domain still needs to be verified, an enforced payout hold can keep the payment from being released until verification is completed.
  • Provider processing time: The payment has been released but your bank or payment provider has not yet delivered it.

βœ… What You Can Do to Help Your Payment Move Forward

  1. Log in to your Publication Media account and open Earning History.
  2. Open Account Settings and confirm that your PayPal Email is present and correct.
  3. Check Earning History for the unpaid remittance and confirm that the related articles were published with a live follow link. Also complete any site verification still required on your publications.
  4. Note the remittance date, status, amount, and PayPal Email shown in Earning History. The PayPal Transaction ID is available after the payment is sent.
  5. If the payment has been pending longer than you expected, contact our team using the steps below and share the details you noted.
