π Overview
LLM Visibility can email one person on your account when your brand's presence in AI-generated answers changes, so that person does not have to log in to check. This article explains who receives those emails, what they cover, and what to check if they are not arriving.
π§ Where to Find Notification Settings
LLM Visibility emails are sent automatically by the platform. There is no notification or alert setting to turn on inside the project, and the Email Settings screen has no AI Visibility or LLM Visibility section. Each project emails exactly one person: the user who created the project, or, if that person has been removed from the account, the team member who has been on the account the longest. Adding team members does not add email recipients.
- Project level: There is nothing to configure. An LLM Visibility project has no notification or alert setting.
- User level: The Email Settings screen, opened from the avatar menu, covers other Search Atlas tools but has no AI Visibility or LLM Visibility section. The only preference a recipient controls is the unsubscribe link in the footer of an email they have already received.
β Steps to Enable Notifications for Team Members
- Confirm that each team member has been invited to your Search Atlas account and has accepted the invitation.
- Project access does not decide who receives the emails. The recipient is the project creator, or the longest-standing current team member if the creator has been removed. Other team members with access to the project see the reports in the dashboard but are not emailed.
- There is no setting for each team member to turn on. Only the single recipient can manage delivery, and only by using the unsubscribe link in an email they received.
- There is no notifications section where LLM Visibility alerts can be turned on. Delivery is automatic for the single recipient, and the only control is the unsubscribe link in the email itself.
- There is no notification option to enable on the LLM Visibility project. Emails are sent automatically when the platform detects a qualifying change.
- Confirm that the project creator's account email address is correct and is an inbox they monitor. If the creator has been removed from the account, the email goes to the longest-standing current team member instead. There is no recipient list to edit.
π₯ Tips for Agencies and Larger Teams
- These emails are not configured per team member and the account owner cannot add recipients. Exactly one person receives them, and the only preference is that person's own unsubscribe. Everyone else follows the reports in the LLM Visibility dashboard.
- Make sure each person is using the email address they actually monitor. Shared or outdated addresses are a common reason alerts are missed.
- If you manage multiple client projects, each project has its own single recipient, determined by who created that project. Granting people access to a project does not add them as email recipients.
π οΈ Troubleshooting Missing Notifications
- Check spam and promotions folders: Platform emails can be filtered automatically. Mark them as not spam if you find them there.
- Add the sender to your safe list: Ask your IT team to allow emails from the Search Atlas domain if your company uses strict email filtering.
- Verify the recipient is still on the account: if the project creator has been removed from the Search Atlas account, emails stop going to them and move to the longest-standing current team member. A member who was never the recipient will not receive the emails regardless of project access.
- Confirm the email address: Check for typos or old addresses in the user profile.
- Allow time, and expect silence when nothing notable happened. The weekly digest is sent on Mondays and only when the newest data shows a meaningful positive change, such as visibility gained. A separate email can arrive when a scheduled analysis finishes, and citation-movement alerts can be rolled into one daily email. If nothing qualifying changed, no email is sent.
