📍 How to Manually Update Your GBP Appointment URL in Search Atlas

Fix “Not Deployed” booking links and publish changes correctly in your Google Business Profile project.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

You updated your Appointment URL, everything looks correct… and yet it still says “Not Deployed.” If you’ve ever wondered whether the change failed, if you need to edit it again, or if Google is simply taking its time, you’re not alone. The confusion usually isn’t about what to update, but how those updates actually go live.

In this guide, we’ll break down exactly how deployment works inside your GBP Project, what “Not Deployed” really means, and how to make sure your booking link is properly pushed to Google, without restarting the review process or creating duplicate edits.

🧠 What’s happening?

You updated the Appointment URL inside your GBP Project (for example, rubbl.com.au), but:

  • You see “NOT DEPLOYED”

  • The change isn’t live on Google

  • You can’t find the “Deploy” button

  • Or you’re unsure whether to edit manually again

Good news: you’re in the right place. Let’s walk through it clearly.

📌 Navigation Path

Left Sidebar → Local → Select Your GBP Project

Once inside the project, you’ll land on the GBP Overview.

From there:

  • Scroll to Business Data Optimizations

  • Locate your Booking Link / Appointment URL

🔧 Why It Says “Not Deployed”

When you edit the Appointment URL inside Search Atlas:

  • The change is saved locally

  • It is NOT yet pushed to Google

  • Google has not reviewed it

That’s why you’ll see:

⚠️ “You have 1 unsaved change”

Status: NOT DEPLOYED

This is normal.

✅ How to Properly Publish the Appointment URL

Step 1: Click Edit

Find your Booking Link section and click Edit.

Update the URL.

Example:

https://rubbl.com.au/rubbish-removal/book-online

Step 2: Click “Deploy all changes”

At the top of the Business Data Optimizations section, you’ll see:

🟠 Deploy all changes

Click it.

This pushes the update to Google.

⏳ What Happens After Deployment?

Once deployed:

  • Your update goes into Google Review

  • Google must approve the change

  • This can take:

    • A few minutes

    • A few hours

    • Occasionally longer

You may see a message like:

“Your updates must be reviewed by Google before they go live.”

This is expected behavior.

❗ Important: Do NOT Edit Again After Deploying

Once you click Deploy all changes, you do NOT need to manually edit again.

Editing again before approval can:

  • Create confusion

  • Reset the review cycle

  • Cause deployment conflicts

If deployment has been triggered, just wait for Google’s review.

🔍 What If You Don’t See the Deploy Button?

If you only see:

  • “Refresh Optimization Tips”

  • “Pull Latest Data”

It may mean:

  1. There are no pending changes

  2. The deployment was already triggered

  3. Your screen needs refreshing

Try:

  • Refreshing the page

  • Scrolling to the top of Business Data Optimizations

  • Checking for the orange deployment banner

🚀 Best Practice Moving Forward

✔ Edit once
✔ Click Deploy all changes
✔ Wait for Google review
✔ Do not re-edit during review

If your GBP Appointment URL says Not Deployed, it doesn’t mean it failed, it just hasn’t been pushed to Google yet. Click Deploy all changes, allow Google’s review process, and your update will go live shortly.
