How to Install the OTTO Pixel on WordPress

Follow these step-by-step instructions to connect your WordPress site to OTTO Pixel in Search Atlas. No coding skills are required — just follow each part in order.

🛠️ Part 1 – Install the Search Atlas Plugin

  1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.

  2. In the left-hand menu, click PluginsAdd New Plugin.

  3. In the search bar, type: "Search Atlas".

  4. Locate the plugin in the search results and click Install Now.

  5. Once installed, click Activate.

🔑 Part 2 – Copy Your API Key

  1. In your Search Atlas dashboard, follow the installation steps until your API Key appears.

  2. Highlight the key and copy it exactly as shown — do not add extra spaces or characters.

📥 Part 3 – Add Your API Key to the Plugin

  1. Return to your WordPress dashboard.

  2. In the left-hand menu, click the SearchAtlas logo.

  3. Go to General Settings.

  4. Paste your API Key into the field labeled SearchAtlas API Key.

🚀 Part 4 – Enable OTTO in Search Atlas

  1. In your Search Atlas dashboard, go to OTTO & Audit → All Sites.

  2. If your site is not listed, click + Create and add it.

  3. Once your site is listed, click Enable next to it.

🆔 Part 5 – Copy Your UUID

  1. In your Search Atlas dashboard, continue the setup until your UUID is displayed.

  2. Copy the UUID exactly as it appears.

⚙️ Part 6 – Configure the Plugin for OTTO

  1. Go back to your WordPress dashboard.

  2. In the left-hand menu, click the SearchAtlas logo again.

  3. Go to General Settings.

  4. Check the box labeled Enable OTTO.

  5. Paste your UUID into the field labeled Otto Pixel UUID.

  6. Click Save Changes.

  7. Clear your website’s cache. Wait 1–2 minutes and refresh the OTTO dashboard.

🛟 Troubleshooting if OTTO Shows “Not Engaged”

  1. ✅ Make sure your API Key and UUID are correct.

  2. ✅ Confirm the plugin is installed, active, and Enable OTTO is checked.

  3. ✅ Save the plugin settings again after making changes.

  4. ✅ Clear your website’s cache (if applicable).

  5. ✅ Wait 1–2 minutes and refresh the OTTO dashboard.

  6. ✅ If it still says “Not Engaged”, click Enable again in Search Atlas.

✅ You’re all set!

Your WordPress site is now connected to OTTO through the Search Atlas plugin.

From your Search Atlas dashboard, you can start monitoring your site’s performance, apply optimizations, and let OTTO work for you.
