What is the difference between installing OTTO through our official plugin in Wordpress (OTTO SSR) and doing it via the code snippets method?
Installing OTTO via our official WordPress plugin vs. the code snippets method:
Official Plugin: Our plugin provides an easy and seamless way to integrate OTTO into WordPress. Since we’ve implemented Server-Side Rendering (SSR), the changes are applied directly on the server before the page loads, rather than relying solely on JavaScript.
Code Snippets Method: This involves manually adding OTTO’s script, which may still work but does not offer the same streamlined experience as our plugin. Depending on how it’s implemented, it may rely more on client-side JavaScript execution.
Key Difference: With our official plugin, OTTO leverages SSR, ensuring faster page loads and improved performance. The plugin modifies content at the server level rather than applying changes dynamically via JavaScript on the client side.
Even when installing through our official plugin, are the changes still applied through JavaScript?
Recently, we have implemented OTTO SSR, the changes are now applied directly on the server before the page loads, rather than relying solely on JavaScript. OTTO leverages SSR, ensuring faster page loads and improved performance.
Why can I see OTTO Pixel with the inspector tool but not with the view page source?
If OTTO pixel is being added to the page by a script after the initial HTML is loaded. View Page Source only shows the original HTML as served by the server, while the Inspector shows the live DOM (which includes any modifications made by JavaScript). This is reason why you can see OTTO Pixel with the inspector tool but not with the view page source.
Do you need to deactivate other SEO plug-ins when you use Search Atlas Like Rank Math, or Yoast?
Yes, some SEO plugins may conflict with our plugin because they modify the same files or SEO settings. If you experience issues, try deactivating other SEO plugins to resolve this conflict.
