📘 Domain Knowledge Network (DKN) + Vibe Coding in OTTO v3

How to generate your topical map, fine-tune it with AI, and send articles into Content Genius.

The Domain Knowledge Network (DKN) in OTTO v3 allows you to build topical authority based on your actual website architecture. OTTO detects your pages, suggests target pages, and surfaces 4–5 high-value keywords for each. The first 3 keywords flow seamlessly into Content Genius for article creation. With Vibe Coding, you can modify your DKN using natural language instructions (e.g. “edit the title… change the page type…”) and apply adjustments instantly.

🧭 Step-by-Step Instructions

1) Open the DKN module

  1. Log in to Search Atlas.

  2. From the left-hand menu, go to OTTO & Audit → Overview and select your website project.

  3. Navigate to the Recommendations tab and locate the Domain Knowledge Network card.

  4. Click Generate now / Generate Topical Maps.

You will see the message:

“Preparing your knowledge network — This may take 2 to 3 minutes.” ⏱️

2) Complete your Business Information (for best results)

The Information about your business panel includes the following fields:

  • Business Description

  • Central Entity

  • Source Context

  • Target Audience

  • Monetization

  • Central Search Intent

Actions:

  1. Click the ✎ icon to edit each field.

  2. Save changes → you’ll see “Business information updated successfully.”

  3. Return to the DKN panel and proceed with Generate Topical Maps.

3) Explore your Domain Knowledge Network

Once generated, the Domain Knowledge Network table displays:

  • PAGES

  • CATEGORY

  • TARGET KEYWORDS (blue keyword chips, typically 4–5 per page; expandable via +2, +4).

  • GENERATION STATUS (one of: Pending Creation, In Progress, Generated, Failed).

Available filters:

  • Search (free text search).

  • All Categories, Page Type, All Status.

    • Page Type options: Blog, Business Advice, Buyer Guide, Category, Home, How To Guide.

4) Create Articles from the DKN → Content Genius

Each row in the DKN table includes a Create Article button. Clicking it opens the article setup panel:

  • Suggested Title

  • Page Type and Section (e.g., Quick Reference/core)

  • Category

  • Suggested Full URL

  • Keywords (note: “Only the first three keywords will be used”)

  • Description

Steps:

  1. Review or edit the fields (title, category, URL, keywords, description).

  2. Click Create Article.

  3. You’ll see the toast: “Article created successfully → Continue.”

  4. The row status changes to In Progress, and once ready, you’ll have the option to View Article.

  5. Selecting Continue or View Article opens the article draft in Content Genius with the top 3 keywords pre-loaded.

5) Understand Generation Status

  • Pending Creation: not yet sent to Content Genius.

  • In Progress: article is being generated.

  • Generated: article successfully created (use View Article).

  • Failed: generation error; retry or adjust inputs.

6) Vibe Coding: Edit your DKN with AI

The Edit DKN with AI ✨ button opens a text box where you can type natural language instructions.

How to use it:

  1. Click Edit DKN with AI ✨.

  2. In the box labeled “Describe how you’d like to modify your content…” enter your instruction.
    Examples:

    • “Update this title ‘Unique Barbados Wedding Favors’ to sound more funny.”

    • “Change ‘Photography Tips and Tricks’ to Page Type = Blog and Section = core.”

    • “Add a new Buyer Guide under ‘Wedding Photography Category’ about ‘How to choose a wedding photographer in Barbados’.”

  3. Submit your instruction with the arrow (↑).

  4. The table refreshes to show applied changes.

  5. Use Create Article again for newly updated rows.

Best practices:

  • One instruction per change for accuracy.

  • Use quotes around exact page titles.

  • Always check row statuses after changes.

7) Recommended Workflow

  1. Fill out Business Information completely.

  2. Generate your Topical Map (DKN).

  3. Use filters to focus on high-priority categories/pages.

  4. Review suggested 4–5 keywords (remember: top 3 flow into Content Genius).

  5. Launch Create Article for priority pages → confirm creation in Content Genius.

  6. Apply Vibe Coding adjustments for strategy refinements.

  7. Publish directly to your CMS using OTTO’s CMS connectors.

The Bulk Upload flow now includes tooltips to guide users through each step before uploading or generating large batches of content.

What’s improved:

  • 📌 Clarification of required fields vs optional fields

  • ⚙️ Guidance on how each field affects bulk generation

  • 📂 Explanation of folder behavior and content placement rules

  • 🎯 Better alignment with the new Bulk Generation Confirmation Window
