Preview Feature in OTTO

View your change before it is deployed onto your site. Check your work and avoid underplaying if you don't like the initial look.

Updated over a week ago

The Preview feature in OTTO lets you see how suggested changes will look on a page before they go live. This makes it easy to evaluate the visual and functional impact of updates without risk.

🧭 How It Works

When you open a preview:

  • The page loads with the suggested change applied.

  • You can compare this side-by-side with the original version of the page.

  • Supported elements include headings length and title tags.

📊 Key Details

Previews display both versions clearly:

  • OTTO version – shows the suggested fix applied.

  • Original version – shows the current live page.

Additional details:

  • Hover over elements (such as title tags) to highlight changes.

  • Previews are always available when a suggested fix exists.

  • No deployment is required — previews run in a test environment only.

💡 Example Use Case

A suggested title tag is generated. In the preview, you’ll see:

  • The new title tag applied on the page.

  • The existing live page title for direct comparison.

🧱 Notes

  • This feature is currently limited to headings length and title tags.

  • All previews are safe to review and do not affect the live site until approved.

Once you’ve previewed your suggested changes, you’ll know exactly how they affect your page before committing. This ensures smoother deployments, greater confidence in your SEO improvements, and a more efficient workflow inside OTTO. Keep using previews to validate updates and maintain a clean, optimized site experience.
