🚀 Search Atlas WordPress Plugin Update 2.5.0

Updated this week

We’ve released version 2.5.0 of the Search Atlas WordPress plugin. This update streamlines workflows, improves branding options, and provides a redesigned experience that aligns with the Search Atlas dashboard. Below you’ll find the full list of new features, improvements, and bug fixes.

✨ Key Features

🔑 Search Atlas Single Sign-On (SSO)

Connecting the plugin is now easier than ever. Authenticate with a single click—no manual setup required.

⚡ One-Click OTTO Activation

Once authenticated, the plugin automatically imports and applies your existing OTTO project configurations from Search Atlas.

🎨 Enhanced White-Label Branding

We’ve significantly upgraded the white-label experience:

  • Plugin name, logo, OTTO name, and dashboard URL now sync automatically after authentication.

  • All plugin connections reflect your customer’s branding.

  • New Advanced tab lets you access and customize these settings.

📊 Direct Dashboard Access

You can now open your OTTO project dashboard directly from inside the plugin.

🖌️ Full Plugin Redesign

We’ve rebuilt the interface to match the current Search Atlas dashboard—modern, consistent, and more intuitive.

🔄 Reset Plugin Option

Quickly reset all plugin configurations back to default values.

📝 Error Logs

When WordPress debug modes are enabled, you can now generate anonymous error logs to share with support, making troubleshooting much faster.

🟢 Connection Status Labels

The new plugin interface now includes visual connection indicators in both the sidebar and the top navigation bar. These labels instantly show whether the plugin is properly connected to Search Atlas:

  • Connected (Green Label): Confirms that your plugin is authenticated and synced with your Search Atlas project.

  • Not Connected (Gray Label): Indicates that the plugin has not been authenticated or has lost connection.

This feature makes it easy to check your plugin status at a glance without opening configuration settings.

🛑 Disable Dashboard Option

For users who prefer to manage projects exclusively through the Search Atlas platform, the plugin now allows you to disable the dashboard inside WordPress.

  • When disabled, the status will display as “Dashboard Disabled”.

  • You can re-enable it at any time if you want direct access to your OTTO project dashboard inside WordPress.

This option gives you more flexibility and control over how and where you manage your SEO workflows.

🔑 Automatic API Key & OTTO UUID Sync

When you log in via Single Sign-On, the plugin automatically populates both the API Key and the OTTO UUID fields if a project already exists in Search Atlas that matches your WordPress domain.

  • This eliminates the need for manual copy-pasting or configuration.

  • It ensures your plugin instantly connects with the correct OTTO project.

  • If multiple projects exist, the plugin prompts you to confirm or select the appropriate one.

This automation reduces setup time and prevents configuration errors, making the onboarding process seamless.

💡 Why it matters

This update streamlines the process of connecting, branding, and managing OTTO within WordPress, making it faster, easier, and more consistent with the Search Atlas platform.
