π What a stuck backlink order means
A Link Building order marked Pending Action needs attention because a placement requires an alternative publication. Open the replacement options, review the reason, and select an alternative, use Choose for me, or request an eligible HDC refund. Check any displayed choice deadline rather than leaving the order unattended. π Check the order before you request help
Find the order and record its ID, current status, publication, and associated project or promoted URL where shown. Do not treat the creation date as the date the status last changed. - Note the exact order ID shown on the order page.
- Confirm which website or client project the order belongs to.
- Read any notes, required fields, or approval prompts on the order.
- Check whether content, target URLs, or anchor text still need your input.
β Clear a Pending Action you can complete
- Open the stuck order from your backlink orders list.
- Follow the action shown for that order. Submit placement opens the placement instructions form. Pending action opens replacement options, where you can select another publication, use Choose for me, or request an eligible HDC refund. Source:

Check the refreshed order status and any confirmation or error message; saving a draft alone does not submit the placement. Source:

Fulfillment may continue afterward, but no fixed processing time is established here. If the action fails, review the error rather than assuming it is processing. Source:

Completing the required step is the fastest way to move an order out of Pending Action.
π³ When credits may be issued
For a placement awaiting a replacement publication, use the available HDC refund option if you do not want a replacement. In Link Laboratory, confirmation states that this returns the placementβs HDC and pauses it permanently. For billing disputes or other delays, contact support to confirm eligibility; do not assume a delay guarantees a credit. - Share the order ID and the project or business name.
- Say whether you want the order completed, closed, or credited.
- Mention how long the status has not changed.
- Do not place a duplicate order while a credit review is open.
