✅ How often verification is required
You normally complete site verification once for each site and once for the payment details on your publisher account. You do not need to repeat it before every payout if the site, ownership proof, and payout method stay the same.
Search Atlas may ask you to verify again only when something important changes or when the existing proof can no longer be confirmed. Repeat verification when:
- You add a new site or change the domain.
- Ownership, DNS, or the verification file or tag is removed.
- You update the payout method or account holder details.
- The site was disconnected, rejected, or flagged for review.
If the platform still shows the site as verified, do not run the process again. Repeating it without a prompt does not speed up payment.
💸 Why a payout can arrive late
A payout is released only after the earning is approved and your account and site remain in good standing. A delay usually means a review is still open, not that verification must be completed again.
Check these items in your publisher account:
- Confirm the payout status for the specific earning, such as pending, approved, on hold, or paid.
- Confirm the site still shows as verified and active.
- Confirm your payout method and account holder details are complete and unchanged.
- Review any in-platform notice about a minimum balance, billing cycle, or compliance hold.
Payment timing follows the schedule shown in the platform. An earlier payout date does not reset that schedule, and a late payout does not by itself mean the site failed verification.
📊 Why metrics can change after approval
Meeting the requirements when a site is added does not freeze its later metrics. Domain Authority and similar scores come from third-party data and can rise or fall as that data is refreshed.
A lower score later can affect whether new opportunities are offered. It does not automatically reverse a payout that was already approved. If a site later falls below current requirements, future placements or payouts for new activity may be limited until the site qualifies again.
Before contacting support, compare the site status, the date the earning was approved, and any notice tied to that payout. This shows whether the issue is verification, a metric change, or normal payment timing.
🛠️ What to do next
Use the status shown in the platform as the source of truth. If verification is requested, complete that request once and wait for the status to update. If the site is already verified, review the payout status and any hold notice instead of repeating verification.
