📰 Press Release Distribution in Search Atlas

New premium channels, smarter selection UI, and the ability to republish high-performing press releases.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

We’ve expanded and enhanced the Press Release Distribution experience inside Search Atlas. Users now have access to new premium distribution channels, a redesigned selection view, and the ability to republish existing press releases to additional outlets—without rewriting content or paying editorial review fees again.

These improvements help users build stronger backlink strategies, choose channels more confidently, and expand distribution whenever a PR gains traction.

📂 Navigate to PR Distribution

From the Search Atlas left sidebar:

➡️ Authority → PR Distribution

The left sidebar shows the Authority crown icon, and under it, PR Distribution.

(You will see the Press Release Distribution dashboard with your target pages and “Publish content” actions.)

✍️ All-New Press Release Creation Experience

This article provides a high-level overview of the updated press release creation and distribution experience. Detailed step-by-step guidance for specific workflow, such as manual press release creation, Knowledge Graph usage, and draft management, are covered in dedicated Help Center articles.

📝 Add a New Press Release

Click Add Press Release to start the new multi-step press release creation experience.

Here you will see a guided, multi-step creation flow, including content creation, review, and distribution channel selection.

🧭 Explore the Updated Distribution Channel Interface

You now have access to a new layout with improvements designed to help users select the right channels strategically.

🎯 What’s new in this view?

1️⃣ Tier Labels

Each group of channels is clearly labeled with a benefit:

  • Tier 1: High Impact Core
“Excellent balance of authority & cost”

  • Tier 2: Maximum Distribution
    “Best for comprehensive coverage”

This helps users instantly understand the type of impact each tier provides—preventing decisions based solely on cost.

2️⃣ Per-channel Benefits

Each channel now shows information to help users understand why it’s valuable.

This helps prevent users from selecting only the cheapest options and later questioning the impact.

3️⃣ Publishing Time (Days)

A new column shows expected delivery timelines based on our data from recent months.

This helps:

  • set realistic expectations

  • reduce premature support requests

  • give users control based on urgency

🏆 Use the New Premium Distribution Channels

We’ve expanded our PR distribution network to include additional high-authority media outlets, giving users access to more visibility, stronger backlinks, and greater brand credibility.

New premium channels include:

  • USA Today
One of the most trusted and widely read publications in the United States.

  • MarketWatch
A leading financial news outlet with millions of monthly readers and strong organic reach.

  • AP News
A global news authority with unmatched syndication power.

  • DA80 Network
A premium aggregated channel that distributes content across 20+ outlets with an average Domain Authority of 80+ from a single submission.

Why it matters:

These additions provide access to some of the most premium media endpoints available through Search Atlas, helping users increase visibility, earn high-authority backlinks, and build stronger brand trust — all without added complexity.

🔍 Indexation, SEO & AI Visibility Notes

Not all premium distribution channels serve the same purpose. Search Atlas provides visibility indicators to help users align channel selection with their campaign goals.

  • Indexed, SEO & AI-Visible Channels
Channels such as USA Today, MarketWatch, and the High Authority US News Network support indexing and do-follow links. These placements can contribute to:

    • Authority and backlink strategies

    • Google News visibility

    • Citation and consensus signals across AI search systems

  • Brand & Optics-First Channels
AP News distributions are no-index and are intended for brand credibility, trust signaling, and client-facing validation rather than SEO or AI citation impact.

  • Inline Metrics During Selection
During the Distribution Channels step, users can view metrics such as authority tier, estimated traffic, audience focus, and expected publishing time to make informed decisions.

No additional setup or workflow changes are required—these indicators are surfaced automatically during channel selection.

🛡️ Before Publishing to USA Today (Important!)

It highlights:

  • No advertorials

  • No promotional claims

  • No misleading statements

  • No medical claims

  • No adult content

  • No crypto promotions

  • Strict press-release format only

⚠️ Submissions violating these rules may be rejected without refund.

We recommend reviewing this in the USA Today - Content Guidelines & Best Practices before selecting USAToday.

🔄 Republish to Additional Channels (New Feature)

We’ve now enabled the option to republish an existing Press Release to additional channels without recreating the PR.

How it works:

  1. Go to PR Distribution

  2. Find your press release

  3. Click View Status

  4. Select additional channels from the expanded list

  5. Publish again—without paying the editorial review fee

This is especially valuable when a press release is performing well and you want to extend its reach quickly.

🆕 What’s New in PR Distribution (Latest Update)

We’ve introduced several major enhancements to the Press Release Distribution and Link Laboratory workflows. These updates are designed to give users more reach, more control, and faster resolution when issues occur.

✍️ All-New Press Release Creation Experience

The entire press release creation flow has been redesigned for usability and flexibility.

Users can now:

  • Write press releases directly inside Search Atlas

  • Generate content using AI or write manually

  • Edit, preview, and publish from a single full-page editor

  • Make changes with real-time previews and one-click editing

This eliminates the need to switch between multiple screens or tools during the publishing process.

Why it matters:

The new experience gives users full creative control while significantly reducing time to publish — especially

🔁 Republish Existing Press Releases Instantly

You can now reuse previously published press releases and distribute them to new channels without recreating content or paying editorial review fees again.

How it works:

  • Locate an existing press release

  • Select additional distribution channels

  • Republish instantly

Why it matters:

This makes it easy to extend the reach of high-performing PRs and maximize ROI with minimal effort.

📊 Smarter Channel Selection with Performance Insights

When choosing distribution channels, users now see additional data points before publishing, including:

  • Primary traffic region

  • Expected publishing time

  • Average monthly traffic

  • Estimated backlink count

  • SEO impact score

Why it matters:

These insights help users make data-driven distribution decisions, choose channels more confidently, and align PR placements with campaign goals.

🧪 Link Laboratory Upgrade: Instant Alternative Publisher Selection

We’ve automated one of the biggest bottlenecks in link fulfillment: publisher rejections.

If a placement is rejected:

  • Users receive an instant email notification

  • They can log in and select an alternative publisher directly from the dashboard

  • Recommended alternatives are intelligently suggested based on the project and content

  • Replacement publishers are often equal or higher quality, at no additional cost

Why it matters:

This removes long delays, eliminates back-and-forth with support, and keeps campaigns moving forward without interruption.

🙌 Closing Note

These updates are designed to give you more control, better guidance, and higher-authority publishing pathways—helping you scale your PR impact with confidence. More enhancements are coming soon, including reach and traffic insights directly in the UI.
