π What the slider number means
Under Custom Post Frequency, the number is how many Google Business Profile posts Search Atlas aims to publish per week. It is not a gap measured in days.
If the slider is set to 4, that means 4 posts per week, not one post every 4 days. One post every 4 days would be a different schedule (about two posts in a typical week).
π How a setting of 4 is applied
Search Atlas treats 4 as a weekly target and spreads those posts across the week. They are not all published on the same day, and the slider does not mean βwait 4 days between every post.β
- 1 means about 1 post per week.
- 4 means about 4 posts per week.
- 7 means about 1 post per day, or 7 posts per week.
A higher number increases weekly volume. A lower number reduces it. The exact publish days can vary so posts stay spaced through the week.
βοΈ What the frequency does not control
- It does not set a fixed βevery X daysβ interval.
- It does not rewrite or delete posts that are already live.
- It does not guarantee a post will go out if required content is missing or a post is still waiting for your approval.
- It does not change post type, images, or the text of each update by itself.
Think of the slider as a weekly posting goal. Approval, available content, and profile status can shift the exact time a post goes live.
π οΈ How to choose a frequency
- Open your Google Business Profile posting settings and find Custom Post Frequency.
- Read the slider value as posts per week.
- Move the slider to the weekly volume you want. For example, leave it at 4 for four posts each week.
- Save your settings.
- Check upcoming posts to confirm the new weekly pace. Already published posts stay as they are.
Most businesses start with a moderate pace, such as 2 to 4 posts per week, then increase it if they have enough useful updates, offers, or photos to support that volume.
