💡 What OTTO does with suggestions
OTTO reviews your site and builds suggestions inside SEO playbooks. A suggestion is a recommended change, such as a title, meta description, heading, internal link, or other on-page improvement. Making a suggestion does not change your live site by itself. The change goes live only after it is deployed.
Think of suggestions as a draft plan. Deployment is the step that applies the approved work.
⚙️ How deployment works
You stay in control of what is published. For each playbook you can:
- Review the suggested changes before anything is applied.
- Deploy the items you want OTTO to implement.
- Leave other suggestions undeployed so they stay as recommendations only.
If deployment or autopilot is turned on for a playbook, OTTO can apply the changes that playbook is allowed to publish. If it is off, OTTO will keep showing suggestions and wait for you to deploy them. Only deployed items should appear on the live site.
📊 Where to see playbook results
Open OTTO in your project, then open the playbook you want to check. The playbook view is the breakdown of what OTTO has done. Use it to see:
- Which suggestions were created
- Which items are deployed, pending, or not deployed
- The pages or URLs included in that playbook
- The type of change OTTO recommended or applied
Review one playbook at a time if you want a clear record of that playbook’s work. Deployed items are the visible results. Undeployed items are still suggestions only.
🔍 How to confirm results on your site
- Open the playbook and note the pages marked as deployed.
- Open one of those pages on your live site.
- Compare the live element, such as the title or description, with the change shown in the playbook.
- Allow a short time for the site and any cache to refresh if the update is not visible immediately.
If a suggestion still shows as not deployed, OTTO has not applied it yet. Deploy that item, or enable deployment for the playbook, and check the status again.
🛠️ If the breakdown does not match what you expected
Confirm that the correct project and playbook are open, and that the items you care about show a deployed status. Then recheck the matching live URL. A suggestion that was never deployed will not show as a live change.
