🧠 What runs content generation
Search Atlas content tools use the platform’s built-in AI. The model is managed by Search Atlas and is not a setting you can view, rename, or swap in your account. There is no self-serve control to point generation at a different large language model or to supply your own API key.
AI output is a first draft based on the brief, keywords, and instructions you provide. It is not a finished article. Expect to review facts, tone, and structure before you publish.
✍️ Why drafts can look weak
Irrelevant or clumsy drafts usually come from a thin brief, not from a hidden setting. Common causes include:
- A topic that is too broad or does not match search intent
- Missing primary keyword, audience, or desired outcome
- No brand voice, tone, or sample of writing you want to match
- Competing instructions, such as asking for both a short overview and a deep technical guide
- Generating a full piece before the outline is approved
Even a strong brief can include generic phrasing or claims that need a human check. Treat every draft as copy that still needs an editor.
🛠️ How to get a better draft
- Write one clear goal: who the page is for, what they should learn, and which keyword it should rank for.
- Add search intent in plain language, such as a how-to, a comparison, or a definition.
- Set tone and constraints: reading level, point of view, words to avoid, and any required sections.
- Approve or edit the outline before generating the full draft.
- Regenerate only the weak section instead of replacing the whole article.
- Paste a short example of your preferred style when the tool allows custom instructions.
- Fact-check names, numbers, and product claims, then rewrite awkward sentences yourself.
Shorter, specific prompts usually beat long, vague ones. If a section stays off-topic after two focused regenerations, rewrite that section manually rather than looping the same request.
📤 Using another language model
You cannot export a Search Atlas draft to an alternate model through a built-in API, and you cannot hand the generator off to an outside LLM from inside the platform. Automated model switching is not a customer option.
You can copy text you created in Search Atlas and paste it into another writing tool you already use. That step happens outside Search Atlas. Do not paste private customer data, passwords, or unpublished client strategy into a third-party tool unless your own policy allows it.
If your team needs a workflow question answered for your account, ask in live chat. Do not assume an integration exists until a teammate confirms it.
✅ A simple quality check
- The headline matches the keyword and the reader’s intent
- Each section answers a real question and does not repeat the one above it
- Claims you would not say on a sales call are removed or sourced
- The voice sounds like your brand, not a generic blog
- A person on your team has read the full draft before publish
💬 If quality is still poor
Gather the page or project name, the brief you used, and one example of output you had to rewrite. If you need further assistance, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type human teammate to be instantly connected with a member of our team.
