🚀 Using Search Atlas OTTO on Replit

Last updated on Oct 29, 2026

✅ What works on a Replit site

Site audit, keyword research, competitor analysis, and rank tracking all work on a custom-coded Replit site. These tools look at your public domain and search data. They do not need WordPress or any other CMS.

Search Console and Analytics connections also work normally. You connect the Google account that owns the property for your live site. The platform reads that data the same way it does for any other website.

🛠️ Install OTTO without a CMS

Yes. OTTO can be installed on a non-CMS site. You add the OTTO script to the HTML that visitors receive. No plugin is required.

  1. In Search Atlas, open the project for your live site and copy the OTTO installation script.
  2. In Replit, open the file that builds the public page head. A simple HTML app usually uses index.html. A React-style app usually uses the main template, such as public/index.html.
  3. Paste the script inside the head tag so it loads on every public page you want OTTO to manage.
  4. Deploy or republish the Repl. The script must be on the live URL, not only in the editor preview.
  5. Return to Search Atlas and confirm that OTTO detects the script on that URL.

📌 Replit details that matter

  • Track the production address visitors use, including a custom domain if that is your public site.
  • Keep the site publicly reachable. Private or password-protected Repls cannot be crawled or audited.
  • Put the script in HTML that is sent with the page. If your app is fully client-side, still include it in the main HTML template.
  • Republish after code changes so the script stays in the live build.
  • Connect Search Console and Analytics to the same verified property as the URL in your project.

💡 Is a Replit site a headache

No. Research, audits, competitor analysis, and rank tracking feel the same as on any other site. The only extra step versus a CMS is placing the script in your code and republishing. After OTTO detects it, recommendations apply to your live pages like any other website.

If a page is not detected, check that it is public, that the script is in the live HTML, and that you republished the latest version.
