🤖 What powers content generation
Search Atlas content tools run on the platform’s built-in AI content system. The exact model name is not shown as a customer setting, and you cannot switch the generator to a third-party model from inside the product. Output quality depends on the brief, keywords, brand context, and the edits you make after generation.
If a page sounds generic, off-topic, or unlike your brand, treat the draft as a starting point. Search Atlas content is meant to be reviewed and rewritten before you publish.
✍️ Why drafts may need rewriting
Irrelevant or unnatural copy usually comes from a thin brief, not from a broken export. Common causes include:
- Keywords that do not match the page intent
- Missing audience, offer, or brand-voice notes
- Competing instructions in the same brief
- Publishing the first draft without a human edit
Before you move the text to another tool, tighten the inputs and regenerate once. A clearer brief often fixes relevance faster than a model change.
🛠️ How to get more human, on-topic copy
- Open the content item and review the target keyword, page type, and search intent.
- Add a short brand note: who you serve, what you sell, and words you never use.
- Name the reader’s problem and the outcome the page should drive.
- Regenerate only the weak sections instead of replacing the whole article when most of it is usable.
- Edit facts, claims, and calls to action yourself. Do not publish unverified statistics or promises.
- Read the draft aloud and cut repeated phrases, filler, and generic introductions.
Keep a human in the loop. AI drafts can miss your offer, cite the wrong facts, or sound unlike your writers. Your team should approve every page before it goes live.
📤 Using another LLM with Search Atlas content
Search Atlas does not provide a customer setting that sends live content jobs to an alternate LLM through your own API key. You also cannot replace the in-product generator with an external model.
You can still use another writing tool as an editor:
- Generate or open the draft in Search Atlas.
- Copy the text you want to revise, or use the export or download option if that content type offers one.
- Paste it into your own LLM with clear instructions: audience, tone, facts that must stay, and sections that must not change.
- Bring the revised copy back into Search Atlas or your CMS and complete your normal SEO checks before publishing.
Do not paste private customer data, passwords, or unpublished client strategy into an external model unless that tool’s terms allow it. Remove sensitive details first.
📌 What to expect from an external rewrite
- An outside model will not automatically keep Search Atlas keyword targets, internal links, or on-page settings.
- Re-check headings, meta fields, and links after you paste the rewrite back.
- Fact-check anything the second model adds. External tools can invent details that were not in your draft.
- There is no supported one-click “send this article to my API” workflow for content generation.
💬 When to contact support
Contact support if generation fails, a project will not save, or you need confirmation of a current product limit. Quality rewrites are handled in the editor or in your own writing tool, not by changing the underlying model.
