Use this guide after you move a website from GoHighLevel (GHL) to Vercel and need OTTO to follow that change. You will disconnect the old GHL site connection, connect the Vercel project, and confirm OTTO is pointed at the new site.
📋 Before you switch
A site can stay tied to its previous host until you update the connection. Complete these checks first so rankings data and OTTO settings stay attached to the correct property.
- Confirm the live site is already deployed on Vercel and the public domain loads correctly.
- Note the exact domain you want OTTO to manage. It should match the domain used in Search Atlas.
- Make sure you can sign in to the Vercel account that owns the project.
- Keep the GHL connection in place until the Vercel site is ready. Disconnecting first does not move the website by itself.
🔌 Disconnect the GHL connection
- Open the site or project in Search Atlas.
- Go to the integrations or connected-sites area for that property.
- Find the GoHighLevel or GHL connection.
- Choose disconnect or remove, then confirm. This stops OTTO from using the old GHL site. It does not delete your GHL account or your Vercel project.
- Refresh the page and check that GHL no longer shows as connected for this site.
If the old connection still appears, wait a moment and refresh again. Do not add Vercel until GHL is fully removed, or OTTO may stay linked to the previous host.
🚀 Connect the Vercel site
- In the same site or project, open the option to add or connect a site host.
- Select Vercel.
- Sign in with the Vercel account that owns the project and approve access when prompted.
- Choose the Vercel project and the production domain that matches your Search Atlas site.
- Save the connection. OTTO should now use the Vercel site instead of GHL.
Use the production domain, not a temporary preview URL, unless that preview address is the only domain you want OTTO to manage.
✅ Confirm the switch worked
- The site shows Vercel as the connected host.
- GHL is no longer listed as connected for this property.
- The domain in Search Atlas matches the live Vercel domain.
- OTTO pages and recommendations load for that domain.
Existing keyword and site history usually stays with the Search Atlas project when you only change the host connection. If you created a brand-new project instead, history will not move automatically.
🛠️ If the connection does not update
- GHL still appears: disconnect it again, refresh, and confirm you are viewing the correct site.
- Vercel project is missing: sign in with the account that owns the project and check that the deployment is in production.
- Wrong domain is selected: remove the Vercel connection and reconnect using the live domain.
- OTTO still references the old site: verify the domain match, then reopen OTTO after the new connection is saved.
