🤖 What powers content generation
Search Atlas content tools run on the platform’s managed AI content engine. The exact third-party model is not shown in your account, and it can change as the product is updated. There is no setting to pick or switch the underlying model yourself.
Generated copy is a first draft for SEO workflows such as briefs, outlines, and on-page content. It is meant to be reviewed and edited before you publish.
✍️ Why drafts sometimes need rewriting
AI drafts can sound generic, miss your brand voice, or need tighter facts and structure. Quality depends heavily on the brief you provide: topic, audience, keywords, tone, and any must-include points.
- Thin inputs produce broad, repetitive copy.
- Missing brand rules make the tone feel off.
- Unverified claims should always be checked by your team before publishing.
🛠️ How to improve drafts inside Search Atlas
- Start from a clear content brief: primary keyword, search intent, audience, and desired outcome.
- Add tone, reading level, and words or claims you want included or avoided.
- Generate an outline first, then adjust headings before writing full sections.
- Regenerate only the weak sections instead of replacing the whole article.
- Edit in the content editor so the final version matches your expertise and brand.
- Review facts, links, and calls to action before you publish or sync the page.
Treat the AI output as a starting point. Your edits are what make the page accurate and useful.
🚀 Using an alternate LLM
Search Atlas does not offer a customer API that sends your article to a different LLM of your choice. You also cannot connect your own model key inside the content generator to replace the built-in engine.
You can still refine copy in another tool:
- Open the draft in the Search Atlas content editor.
- Copy the text, or use your plan’s export or download option if it is available for that content.
- Paste the draft into the LLM you already use, along with your brief and brand notes.
- Paste the revised copy back into Search Atlas.
- Finish SEO checks and publish from Search Atlas as usual.
Keep sensitive customer data, passwords, and unpublished business information out of third-party tools unless your own policies allow it.
đź“‹ What to give the other model
- The Search Atlas draft or outline
- Target keyword, intent, and audience
- Brand voice, examples of good pages, and words to avoid
- Required facts, offers, and calls to action
- A short instruction such as “rewrite for clarity, keep the headings, and do not invent statistics”
After the rewrite, confirm that important keywords and headings still match the brief.
đź’¬ When to contact support
Contact support if generation fails, a draft will not save, or an export control you expect on your plan is missing. Model choice and automatic handoff to an outside LLM are not available product settings.
