๐ What Is Apple Business Connect?
Apple Business Connect is Apple's free tool for managing how your business appears in Apple Maps, Siri, Wallet, and other Apple apps. A listing (called a place card) can show your name, address, phone number, hours, website, photos, and more. For local businesses, such as a remodeling company serving a specific city, a correct Apple listing helps nearby customers find you on iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
โ Can Search Atlas Create an Apple Business Connect Listing?
Yes. You can request an Apple Business Connect listing through the Local Citations feature. Local Citations helps you build consistent business listings across directories and platforms so your name, address, and phone number (NAP) match everywhere online.
Availability can depend on your plan and on whether Apple already has a listing for your location. If you do not see Apple Business Connect as an option, use the chat steps at the end of this article and we will check your account.
๐งพ What You Need Before Ordering
Gather the details below first. Accurate information speeds up approval and avoids rejections.
- Exact business name as it appears on your signage and website
- Full street address (or service area if you do not serve customers at your location)
- Main phone number that is answered by your business
- Website URL that matches your business name and location
- Primary business category (for example, remodeling contractor)
- Business hours, including any holiday hours
- Logo and photos, if you want them on your listing
Make sure this information matches your Google Business Profile and website. Inconsistent details are the most common reason listings are delayed or flagged.
๐ ๏ธ How to Order Through Local Citations
- Log in to the Search Atlas platform and open the Local Citations tool.
- Select the business or location you want to create the listing for. If it is not set up yet, add it first.
- Review the business details on file and correct anything that is outdated.
- Choose Apple Business Connect from the list of available directories or platforms.
- Submit your order and confirm the details.
- Track the status from the same Local Citations area of your account.
If you manage several locations, place a separate order for each one. Each location needs its own unique address and details.
โฑ๏ธ What Happens After You Order
Apple reviews every new or updated listing, so it will not go live immediately. Here is what usually happens:
- Your order is submitted with the business details you confirmed.
- Apple checks the information and may ask for verification, such as a phone call, a document, or confirmation that you are authorized to represent the business.
- Once approved, the listing can appear in Apple Maps and other Apple services. Updates may take some time to show up.
Review times are controlled by Apple, so they can vary. Check the order status in Local Citations before reaching out.
๐ Can I Access the Listing Natively Afterward?
Yes. Apple Business Connect is built so that business owners can manage their own listings. After your listing is created, you can claim it with your own Apple Account at Apple Business Connect and manage it directly. Here is the general process:
- Go to the Apple Business Connect website and sign in with your Apple Account. We recommend using a business-owned Apple Account rather than a personal one.
- Search for your business name and address.
- Select your listing and choose to claim it.
- Complete Apple's verification, which may include a phone call, a document upload, or domain confirmation.
- Once verified, you can edit hours, photos, links, and other details directly in Apple Business Connect.
Owning the listing in your own Apple Account means you keep control even if you change vendors or tools later. Apple also lets you add other people as team members or delegates, so a colleague or agency can help without sharing your login.
Note: Ownership and access depend on how the listing is created and verified. If a listing is already claimed, Apple may ask you to request access from the existing owner or go through additional verification. If you are unsure who the listing is registered to, ask our team to confirm the details for your order.
๐ก Tips for a Smooth Approval
- Use your real business name only. Avoid adding keywords or city names that are not part of your legal or signage name.
- Use a local phone number that someone can answer, since Apple may call to verify.
- Make sure your website clearly shows the same name, address, and phone number.
- Check Apple Maps first to see whether a listing for your business already exists. If one does, claiming it is usually better than creating a duplicate.
- Keep your information the same across all your directories.
๐ง Common Issues and Fixes
- The order is taking a long time: Apple reviews each submission, so some delay is normal. Check that your details are accurate and that you responded to any verification request.
- A listing already exists: Claim it in Apple Business Connect instead of creating a new one, to avoid duplicates.
- Verification failed: Check that your phone number, address, and website match your public information, then try again.
- I cannot find the Apple option in Local Citations: It may not be included in your current plan or for your location. Contact our team to confirm.
- The listing shows the wrong information: Once you have claimed the listing, you can edit it directly in Apple Business Connect. You can also update your details in Search Atlas so future submissions stay consistent.
